Dreams, Sanity, Me? by Ari Jones When I see the future, I look around and question, whether what I am seeing, is just a strange reflection. I wonder what the truth is, I am told it is outside. My mother tells me otherwise she says its close inside. I look through my past, I see things not done, I look at the future, Am I the only one? I dream thoughts of knights, and strange craft yet to come. I fear thoughts of death and armaggedon in some. When I see the future, I look around and question, whether what I am seeing, is just a strange reflection. My Dreams are the future! The Future is now!
Defeat in Cyberspace Ari Jones Age: 17 Fairfield, CT I run as fast as I can, the ground beneath my feet. The rifle in my hand, Bright lights dance their streak. I hear a familiar crack. I feel my tension ease. The bullet missed my back. The terror simply a tease. Then I feel a ripping, running through my side. There is a dripping, as blood flows like a tide. I fall to the ground. I can no longer see. I feel for the round. It is in me buried deep. I am going to die here. I try to hope and pray. I feel my soul fear. That Satan's place I stay. Then nothing hits me, blackness fills my eyes. I lose all my feeling, until a light arives. I am lying on a bed. "The test went well." "Am I living or dead?" "Our program will sell." The program was over. The test was complete. They explained to the soldier. About his virtual defeat.
