If I could talk to my mother just one more time
this is what I would say:
I would tell her that I miss her so much
each and every day.
I'd explain to her how sad I have been
since she went away.
But that I am glad for her because
she's gone to heaven to stay.
I'd ask about heaven's streets of gold
and about the way things are.
And I'd want to know all about the angels
and all about the stars.
I would ask her all about her new body
that is healed and well today.
And then I'd say, "Lets bow our heads
and together let us pray."
We would thank the father for sending his son
so that in eternity we may live.
And we would praise his precious holy name
for all the love he gives.
And then I would ask a special request
of my very own.
I would ask the Lord to keep his new angel
safe 'til I get home.
I would also add that one day soon
I'll be meeting them up there.
And then we would say, "In Jesus name"
and close our final prayer.
