Mendez About His Tatoos:
Right wrist: There it says Junior, my son’s name.
Left wrist: There it says Stephanie, my daughter’s name. When I have time for it I’ll get myself another tatoo under that one, that one will say Eva, my second daughter’s name. (This one is now finnished.)
Right underarm: Familia –my family is important to me. It also says LM, from my name, Leopoldo Mendez.
Right overarm: There’s my life in pictures, how I imagine it, from my birth, through the life as a bad boy ‘till my death.
Left overarm: Says in spanish: Real dogs never die. Which means: Real friends never let you down. A homage for my brother.
Left underarm: Says "la vida loca", the crazy life. (Not after Ricky Martins ‘Livin La Vida Loca)
Left chest: A picture of Jesus. He means a lot to me.
Right chest: There it says DJ Mendez.
Stomach: Says latino. That’s what I am.
Neck/Chest: There I have a necklace with a heart.Under it is it written: belongs to my family.
Back: It’s a picture of heaven and hell. I believe in both. Next to it is it written that I don’t want to die, but also that I’m not afraid to die, and that we’ll see if I come to heaven or hell.
