The singles:

Chiki-Chiki Razor Tongue
1999

Written by Mendez, Rob'n'Raz,Gustav Johnson.

His very first single. Out in 1999.

From the album: Latino For Life.

Background: The word ‘Chiki-Chiki’ doesn't really mean anything. It was in a party where Mendez' nephew was 1 year old and ran around trying to pinch the girls behind. Every time he sucessed he shouted: 'Chiki-Chiki'.

Lots of rythms and great rapping!

1999

Made by: Mendez, Rob'n'Raz, Patrik Henzel.

The first singles Chiki-Chiki and Estocolmo were both hits in Scandinavian hitlists, but Razor Tongue was Mendez' final breakthrough.

It sold platin in Sweden and made the top 10 there.

One of Mendez' best singles!!!

Fiesta (house party) Tell Me Why
1999

Written by Mendez, Rob'N'Raz and Cepeda.

This is a real party song! Great success in almost wherever it has been released. Mendez 4th single.

It's a party, fiesta del barrioooooo!!

1999

Written by DJ Mendez, Sepehrmanesh, Broady, Jonsson)

This was a real surprise... Mendez with a ballad?? He has kept some of the latin rythms and his spanish rap, but this single has more pop in it than his earlier ones. Still beauuuuuuutiful!! I really love it. Though I would like to know what he is really singing/rapping about.. I'm still not too good in Spanish..

Absolutely recommanded!

Cross The Border Adrenaline
2001

Written by Johnson, Tysper, Sepehrmanesh, Mendez

It's been a while since the last single.

Now Mendez is comming with this single and the album called 'Mendez'.

He has taken 'DJ' out of his name now. Now he's just Mendez.

His 6th single, the 1st from the 2nd album..

The video was recorded on Cuba, where Mendez also had a more unpleasent experience... (see the Media site 'Mendez drugged and robbed'..)

Great song, great music !

2002

Written by Henzel, Rob'N'Raz, Mendez and Cepeda

This single was actually made as Mendez' contribution for the swedish Eurovision Song Contest.

Mendez' came second, only beated by Afro-dite's 'Never Let It Go'.

Adrenaline is all you need, baby!!

No Criminal Carnaval

2002

Written by Lindström, Ekhé and Mendez

On this single, Mendez' got some help of Low-Low. Another great rapper.

The whole song is about them having a conversation where Low-Low is some kind of police and Mendez tries to tell him that his not a criminal..

Mendez: Please, just tell mi my crime!

Low-Low: Too many hits.. too many rymes..

A really cool track that i could listen to all day long : )

2003

Written by

Mendez tries again in Eurovision Song Contest.

He was before the contest rated as the favorite, but it didn't go to good this time.

Carnaval didn't even make the swedish final... This might be because of some problems with the tekephone woting system, though the producers says that every wote was counted... Yeah right !!

I woulda woted for you Mendez if I lived in Sweden... You know that!

Tequila
2003.

Written by

This single was released summer 2003. (And it hasn't come to Norway yet......)

It is (my opinion) the best song Mendez has made since Razor Tongue. Maybe even better. (And I luuuuuuuuvd Razor Tongue!!)

I really recommed it! It has been a great success in Spain and Sweden.

A real summer hit that can last all the way to next summer! Paaarty! : )
