Marcela is Mendez' new love!
They are planning to get married
In the ending of last year Mendez' divorced his wife. After seven years of marriage. But maybe he will re-marry. With Marcela Duque. - I'll make sure to give her the Mendez name.
This last year has been tough for Leopoldo Mendez, 27. Because of his fighting against his alcoholism, he has been met by divorce, outburnness and a mystic stomacksickness.
But now it at least looks like he has found love again. On the premier of 'Terminator 3' thursday, he showed up hand in hand with his new girlfriend, Marcela Duque, 26. - But we're gonna change that. I'll make sure to name her Mendez, he said after she had told us her last name, and put his arm around her.
Divorced last winter
In the ending of last year Mendez and his exwife Ninoska got divorced. - Ofcourse it is really hard. We have three kids together, he said. He has never talked about the reason for the divorce. But we know that his alcoholism has made the marriage tough. He don't know if he had standed himself if he was her.
One year as sober
And about the same time he celebrated one year as sober. - I got a medallion. My family was there and they were really proud. It almost felt like having my first birthday again. About a month ago Mendez was forced to get help in a hospital because of his stomachache. The answers of the tests hasn't come yet. But on the question of how he feels now he answered: - I feel great.
