when god observed how bad it was on earth
and saw that all mankind was depraved
he said to noah make a boat
from resinous wood, sealing it with tar

noah was the only truly righteous man
he always tried to live according to god´s will
so he did everything as god commanded him
and boarded the boat to escape the flood

for forty days the roaring floods prevailed
and all existence on earth was blotted out
but god promised to never do it again
and gave us the rainbow as a sign
