| United capped off a great undefeated season by winning the GMSA Challenge Cup in bitterly cold conditions in the Mike Rose Stadium. The road to the Final was very tough. United beat a very good FC Europe team 3-1 in the first round and then got by Spartans FC in the second round by a score of 2-1. In the semi-finals against the Kickers, Gabe Beyl confirmed his Player of the Year status by scoring the game tying goal in the last minute of play. We went on to win the PK shootout and advance to the Final. In the Final, we met a determined Strangers side, but we came out on top by a score of 5-0. | |||||||||||

| After years of trying to win the Division 1 League Championship, United finally claimed our first title with a season-ending 2-2 draw with the Flyers. United went into the last game of the season needing 1 point to lift the trophy. But our opponents, the Flyers, could win the league by taking all three points. United came out playing more defensively than normal and it backfired. We went into halftime down 2-0. But, like we've done all season, we came out and had a much better second half. We scored our first goal with around 17 minutes left in the game. Gabe Beyl sent in a left footed shot that caught everyone off guard and went in at the far post. About eight minutes later, Colin Bonner sent a great through ball to Sunday Isename, who poked the ball past the keeper and into the goal. Our team held on in the last 9 minutes to secure the draw and the title. Man of the Match honors go to Colin Bonner, who was the best player on the pitch. United ends the regular season undefeated with 7 wins and 3 draws. | |||||||||||
