| Clive Grant His formidable stature and bass playing is often a talking point yet Clive also has a natural talent for lead guitar, and that is what he played with top club bands, including the excellent Blend and Freeride, in the 70's. Having worked with Paul Daniels, Jim Davidson, Mike Reid etc Clive joined Spellbound in the 80's, at which time he made the move to bass guitar. Later, after two years with the very popular Steve Scott and Rio, Clive joined Memphis Roots in 1990, he shared lead vocals with Lee & Wol. Clive played a 5 string Fender Jazz Bass guitar through a Peavey 300 watt combo in that band. Although over 6ft 3in, and weighing over 18 stone Clive once won a fancy dress competition as Tom Thumb!!!
