- Phantom Exhaust System
Posted March 16, 2005
Wow! A month back I bought my new exhaust pipe from Project Blaster (www.projectblaster.com) and all I can say is WOW! This pipe made my bike absolutely RIP!!! I can feel a huge difference, it doesn't even feel like the same bike anymore. I had some trouble getting the thing on but all the suffering was worth the power gain. I then had a problem with my carburator because it was constantly leaking fuel and that put me out of commission for two weeks. I got that fixed last Friday (March 11) and I am so happy with my bike now. This pipe was worth the money, no doubt about it!
- Top Speed!

I was browsing the internet today and found some cool info on tire sizing etc. Currently I am running some beefy 23" MudSharks (kick ass) and recently found out my top speed for the Ghetto Blaster. With stock gearing I am capable of of speeds up to 104km/h or for you American's 65MPH. That is just with an increase of 1 inch of the stock tire size. I can go 5 mph faster then stock, a simple mod that will definately give your clutch a little beating but it's already being abused enough so who gives a rats ass. I plan on messing with the gearing ratios to gain some more power out of my machine. I think I wanna boost my acceleration a little because it takes a lot of juice to turn those meats (see in pictures section). I can buy sprockets from Project Blaster (14, 38) and that will allow me to achieve a top speed of 117 km/h! That is fn' highway speeds!!! I think I might add a tooth to the rear sprocket to bring it closer to stock gearing and gain some acceleration back. But first the Project Blaster Phantom is going to be arriving @ my doorstep!!!
- Painting my Exhaust!

Well I don't have any pictures to show my steps, but man was it ever a pain in the butt. I am sure you Blaster owners are all aware that the stock exhaust pipe can eventually become super rusty. Well mine looked really bad and I decided I wanted to clean her up a bit. Well two days of hard sanding and viola! About 6-7 coats of Aluminum coloured high heat paint, a lot of patience and I had a nice new looking exhaust head pipe. After I sprayed it I discovered a hole in my exhaust from that FN' rusty piece of shit steel! G-Damn, well I am buying a Phantom Exhaust system from ProjectBlaster.com this comming summer so no big deal. I'll get some pics of my pipe and maybe write a good little tutorial on spray painting and how to make it look nice and pretty.
