To A New Parent
Every day will be hard
but every day (and night) will be a little better
than the day before
and every day you will feel more confident,
wiser,
more practiced and practical and useful.
And every day that you go to bed
(or don't)
knowing your baby is safe, healthy,
and secure in the knowledge of your love
you have accomplished the greatest thing there is.
You yourself are blessed
and
You yourself are the blessing that God
is visiting upon your child.
