This here is from Shakespeare.
There was a king, and there was war, and the king led his soldiers in battle.  Many soldiers died.  At one point, the king was surrounded by all his enemies.  In this moment, his horse fell  wounded, and the king shouted:

A horse!  A horse!  My kingdom for a horse!

This exclamation became famous as a proverb.
