Here at 518 we have many memories that will last a lifetime! The story behind this retrospective is simple. During Christmas break 2005, Mike was digging thru "the archives" at his house at 558 Northfield Drive Youngstown, New York and he found the following photographs. These images were taken by Mike sometime during the final weeks of May 2001. This is 518 in its final days....in raw silence. No parties, no people present just all the classic scenes/areas in which memories seem to jump out of each picture and.......ok i'm overdoing it here but hey.....thats me....thats Mike....after all "I am Art Vandelay, I am an Importer/Exporter". So here they are the men, the moments and the mystique that is 518. In the words of Cosmo Kramer...."Giddy-Up!"
P.S. Schrems are you still "Master of your domain?!?!?!?!"
2001 is on the left and 2005 is on the right. This is a great pic to compare to my 518 Retrospective from the Summer of 2005
The 518 Kitchen, facing the living room, the front door is to the right of the pic is not pictured. The bathroom door is not pictured but is to the left
Several classic things appear in this pic. First is the huge floppy disk to the left, the bathroom door, and the top two shelves. Matt's shelf is second from the top and Mike's shelf is the top one. Stevo and Cason were in position of these shelves as of Summer 2005
The Kitchen as viewed from the living room. The cupboards have been replaced since 2001. Thank God
Here is the classic 518 clock, Casons light, Kelly's Worley hat and Ron....our hero Ron Jermey.
The living room as viewed from the Kitchen. Note the 518 artifacts littered everywhere and the stair well leading upstairs.
This pic is for Stef with and F. Stef....note the way that the fridge/microwave/TV is slanted to the right. This is how it sat on the floor. As Chris always notes the water would congregate near a outlet on the floor behind the fridge. This is a view from the living room.
A picture of Matt's room as it appeared in May 2001. This room also originally housed Gless, then Audrey spent a month here and then Cason Peter.
Mike's room. Note the clutter. Yes it was that bad. This room originally house Matt. Note all the Civil War/Raiders crap!
Stevo's room. This room orginally housed Schrems. Here is how it looked in 2001. Note his classic Stevo polos and Pam Anderson pic.
The bathroom at 518. Believe me this is the cleanest that it ever appeared. The toilet is to the right and is not pictured where Cason met his Squirrel. Also note "Weapons Storage" Inside all of your names were listed. Note the classic 518 shower curtain to the left.
The winding stair leading to Cason and Stevo's room.
Last and surely not least here is Casons room so all your Cason fans can see it in its glory during the Final Days of 518.
One of the final 518 Parties
Schrems and Stevo thinking that any man who has been involved in over 1,700 porn films must be one of the "greatest men who ever lived!"
In these pics we see Matt's Marilyn Monroe impression in the left pic and Stevo trying to shut the door with Cason's 1,000 friends trying to get in.
The pic in the middle is a much better pic and we were ready for the flash. Note the drunkeness on our faces....yes it is genuine.
The third pic made me cringe. If I ever get that big again please shoot me. I guess that is what McDonalds, Taco Bell, Wendys, Burger King, Pisenellos and tons of beer does to a college man. Note what I used as a container for my beer. I still use that container but it is currently reserved for Lemonade!
The floor after the final 518 Party. You can just hear Mike saying "What happened to my floor!?"
Bonus Picture
A party from 1999. I know this because of Schrems and Gless have yellow hair
