Yahoo Free Submit. How to get your site listed in the yahoo search engine
There's a lot of information on the internet about How to add your URL free to Yahoo search engine or yahoo directory for free, or how to get listed in yahoo search engine. If you found this page you have probably seen other information about the details and specifics of getting into yahoo. So I'm not going to waste any one's time by trying to "add some content" to this page by listing the various resources for directions on getting listed.
The point of this page is to tell you the things you need to know about getting listed in yahoo that no one else is. I can't gaurantee my advice will get you into yahoo but I am sure that if you follow the basic principles of my advice, the process will be less frustrating for you and yahoo. So here goes my rant......pardon the lack of order but as long as you get the gist of my advice, that's all that matters. Before you even try to get listed in yahoo, get listed in google. Google provides search results for yahoo, aol, infospace, and more. I will be much easier and take a lot less time. The quickest way to get listed in google is to make sure that other sites link to yours. The more sites that link to yours the easier it will be for the googlebot to find you. Even if you "submit" your site to google and the bot does'nt have to find you, you're site will get higher rankings if other sites link to it. Another thing to note is that it usually takes less time for the googlebot to find you than it does for you to get listed by submitting your site. Just to be sure you understand the importance of getting listed in google...This page is not technically listed in yahoo, it's in google! It usually only takes about a month for the googlebot to find you once other sites link to yours. After you get listed in google you can devote the rest of your life to getting in yahoo, if you still think it's worth the time. If you have a question and you think I can help, just ask, my e-mail is [email protected]

1st. Point

Follow directions. CAREFULLY read the information and directions yahoo provides about how to suggest your site. READ THE DIRECTIONS!
Don't waste your time by having to resubmit a URL because you did not sumbitt it properly the first time. Don't waste yahoo's time by making them look at your submission a second time. They always have a waiting list of site submissions to review and the more of their time you waste, the more money yahoo has to pay it's editors. The more money yahoo has to pay it's editor's the less free services it will be able to offer the public....Do your best to get it right the first time. If you have to sumbit your URL too many times they will just ignore your request, can you really blame them? Would'nt you do the same?

2nd. Point

Try to offer them a site with some original content or useful information. If you are submitting a business website you should try to have something on your site that is informative or usefull to people other than your "product". Even if you pay $300 for them to review your business site, it does not mean they will list it. If your business is a "common one" then it's content value is less significant.  Spice up your site with something useful to the public other than your product.

3rd. Point
BE NICE! To many people these days seem to forget that a little common courtesy and respect will get you alot further than a lack thereof.
Even if you are paying them to review your submission it does'nt give you an excuse to forget your manners. Since so many people today dont seem to know what manners are, here's a link to webster's dictionary

Try to remember these people are busy. There are thousands of other people just like you, trying to get a site listed with yahoo. If they turn down your request, just try to figure out what the reasons may have been and fix it. This time spend twice as much time trying to make your site more "acceptable", because each time you have to resubmit the less your chances are.

4th. Point

Don't think that "having money" is going to get you listed. It's not about the money with yahoo. It's about the money AND quality. If it were just about the money they would have a gauranteed submission form that would cost $1,000.
thats my rant for now, i hope i've help make someone's life
a little easier, if not, at least i tried.
