He's not much for talking or touching, and is extremly skittish. Even a bite made into a playful gesture will go as violence for him. Jeru has hardley spoken three sentances in two years, and his speech has become very simple and child-like. Once he beings to trust a person, though, he can become quite affectionate. Jeru is also extremely curious, and is attracted to odd creatures. This trait has gotten him into trouble more than once.
Jeru's rank is shown, not only through his abnormal markings, but through his utter piousness and subserviance. He is a favored Kappa to Escillius, and holds that title dear to him. He thinks of him as a 'master' (in the teacher sense), and addresses him as such. Jeru practically fawns over Escillius, with the sort of adoration only seen in the most obbsessed idolizers.
