In his human form, Kawa is tall and skinny, with a round face a large, bright, mossy green eyes, hidden behind the frame of rectangular glasses. He's long-limbed and lanky, and walks with a clumsy gait that makes him look as if he's going to fall over with every step he takes. Fortunatly he's rather good at keeping his balance in tipsy situations. Kawa has long, frizzy, brown hair that reaches between his shoulder-blades. It's horribly unkept at full of split-ends. He often finds himself tying it back in a ponytail to keep it out of the way.
In his roc form, he's impressivly large, with an abnormal wingspan (even for rocs!). He sports grey-brown feathers, with a crest of stone grey along his brow and back, that does not extend between his wings. These great feathers are also present at the tips of his wing and tail. His chest is a creamy, pale yellow-grey color. His beak and legs are red-brown.

A bit of a geek, Kawa is intellectual and curious, with an aptitude for learning. He emerses himself in novels and text books, consuming every shred of information he can. His schedule is completely full, between his doctorly duties and his desire for knowledge. He has little time for friends or socializing, and because of it he's not a very good speaker. He stutters and fumbles over words clumsily.
Kawa is easily embarassed and very shy. He'll never approach anyone unless he's forced to, and said person is not already engaged in a conversation. He will not attempt to join an established conversation.
He may be shy, but Kawa is by no means skittish. He's calm and collected and can think himself out of any situation. He's able to rationalize problems and solve them with little difficulty. And he's serious. Kawa takes little time to enjoy the fun side of life if it doesn't involve text-book learning. He gets impatient with foolishness and rowdy persons.
