During her childhood she switched off living with her mother, Bebe and her mother's life partner, Todd Rundgren, her aunt Annie, and her grandmother Dorothea Johnson. As a young child she enjoyed performing in front of others and would always dress up and put on shows when friends came over. When Liv was 9 her mother took her toan Aerosmith concert. While she was there she noticed a girl who looked very much like herself. She asked her mother why the girl looked like herself and her mother confessed that the girl was Liv's half-sister, Mia and that the man singing on stage was her real father, Steven Tyler. Because of this, at the age of twelve Liv chnged her name from Liv Rundgren to Liv Tyler. When Liv was fourteen a family friend got her into the modeling business and she soon found her picture on big Magazines such as Seventeen, Interview, and Mirabella. In 1994 Liv played in her first 2 movies, Silent Fall and Heavy, afterwards she quit modeling to pursue her acting career. She starred in Empire Records, but her big breakthrough came her next film, Stealing Beauty. Soon she was working with big stars like Tom Hanks in That Thing You Do! (1996) and Bruce Willis in Armageddon (1998). Other movies Liv was seen in include, Inventing the Abbots, Cookie's Fortune, Plunckit Macleane, Onegin, Dr.T and the Wome, and One Night at McCools. In 1999 she landed the role of elf princess Arwen in the Lord of the Rings trilogy directed by Peter Jackson. Then in February 2001 Liv became engaged to Royston Langdon, and in 2003 they were married in the Caribbean.
