Since his humble beginings in Ontario, Canada Mark Mathey has been leaping toward his musical future.  After moving to Switzerland at the age of 9, in hopes to join the international tennis tour, he soon became injured and that is when he first picked up a guitar.  Since then he hasn't been able to put it down.  After his father was killed by hitting his head on a butter churn, Mark and his mom moved to America in hopes to own thier own land.  After reaching the promised land, Mark began to develope his unique and incredible playing style.  His mixture of Jazz, African chant, Philipene folk metal, has wowed audiences every where and even turned a few heads in the record industry.  Not wanting to be a sell out, Mark refused to join the recording industry at such an early age.  Instead he created the dream that is MELVYN.
Mark's guitar is a Epiphone SG- 400 Deluxe Flametop.
Mark's acoustic guitar is a Takamine
