Daughter/Son...
No matter hw much your mum or dad may nag you or tell you off, they do whats best for you. Here's how to make things easy for them and easy for you!

Do...
...learn to recognise when you parents are feeling especially tired, fed up or upset. When this happen's,either stay of the way and give them some privacy,or make them a nice cup of tea/coffee and try to cheer them up!

...help around the house, withour being asked! This will impress your parents loads and will look great if you ever need to ask for a favour fiver...

...tell your parents what your up to.Chat to htem about school, your friends, your hobbies and you days.If you don't speak, they'll think there's something wrong and will imagine all kinds of terrible things!

...make the effort to spring the occasional suprise on your mum and dad.Take the time to buy a bunch of flowers,a bar of chocolate and a thank-you card every so often.

Don't...

...be embarrassed to talk about your personal problem's with you mum/dad.You may go bright red at the mention of something at the words "growing up" but your parents have been through it all before, and they have loads of experience and will be pleased if you turn to them for help.

...ever bang down the phone or slam a door on your parents/in your parents face, even if your annoyed.Stuff like this won't be forgotten for years!

...think your parents are being nosy. They're really interested in what you do and probably just want to find out what's going on in your life.

...compare everyone else's parents to yours and think they are better.Your pal's mum/dad might be dead nice to you,but that doesn't mean she let's your pal off with everything. You can bet your friend get's as many rows as you do - you just don't see them! - taken from Shout magazine
