Kevin raised his head as his tear filled eyes looked at his uncle. "D..daddy died..h..he...he..I..I heard...a...and...he...he ." Kevin studdered, buring his head in his uncles lap, and wept. Harold scooted back, his eyes wide with fear, "W...what do you m..mean h..h..he's d...d...dead" Harold said, tears welling up in his eyes. "I...I...w..went to g...go s..see d..daddy w when h..he w...was hurtin....h..his back hurt. W..when I walked i..in...h...he didn't move..h...he ..d....d...died" Kevin sobbed, tears still falling from his eyes. "Why was he hurt Kevin?" Harold asked, trying to remain calm. "H...d...daddy said h..he h..had c...c...cancer, a..and the doctors were going to make him f..feel better, b...but why is he hu...hurt if he took medince?" Kevin questioned. Harold's eyes went wide. Cancer. The word ran through his head. All those doctor app., that's what they were for. Harold fought to keep his tears undercontroll, but didn't succded. Tears pourd from his eyes. He pulled Kevin into a quick hug, embracing him tightly. He stood, bring Kevin with him, "W...we have to go s..see your mom" Harold whispered, numbly. The man and the boy wiped their tears from their eyes, grabbing hands, making their way to the hospital. Both fearing what would happen, once they stepped in the hosptial doors.
Jackie gripped Harry's hand tightly in her's, as she screached back and forth, looking for Ann and Jerald. She turned the corner, her gaze fell upon Ann, her head in her hands, weeping. Jackie and Harry slowly made their way to Ann. Ann raised her head, at the sound of footsteps. Her eyes went wide, seeing Jackie and Harry. She stood quickly, embracing Jackie, then pulling Harry into both of their embrace. Jackie got tears in her eyes, tighting her grip on Ann and Harry. After minutes of hugging, Jackie pulled back. "H...have you heard anything?" Jackie asked, wiping the tears from her eyes. Ann sighed, "No, the doctor wants to explain it to you" Jackie nodded. Ann looked around, "Where is Harold?Didn't he come?" Just then, they all saw Harold and Kevin walking towards them. Ann's eyes went wide, seeing her son, his tear strained cheecks, his cold lips trembling. She walked towards them, kleeing down. "Where have you been? Oh God..are you ok sweetie?" Ann said, tears coming from her eyes again. She pulled him into a hug, embracing him. Kevin hugged his mother, wrapping his shacky hands around her shoulders. Minutes, Ann pulled away from Kevin. She went to hug Harold, he hugged her quickly, pulling away fast. "What happend to Jerald, Ann?" His voice was full of worry. Ann looked at him shocked, tears coming to her eyes. She hung her head low, and wept.
