You agree to take the grand tour of Spooksville with Wigley and Quigley, and as you walk beside your floating friends, you realize how VERY excited you are to be getting a tour of the home of Halloween! As you walk along thinking about the magic of the town, you notice a small voice...no TWO small voices calling your name...
In your haste, you'd walked right past Wigley, Quigley, and the first stop on your tour: The Pumpkin Patch. Quigley offers to tell you the "coolest story to come out of the patch in centuries!" (somehow you know he's serious about the 'centuries' thing...) Quigley begins...

Toothy was a simple pumpkin. He had lived on his spot in the pumpkintown pumkin patch for years, but Toothy was getting bored with his simple pumpkin life. Toothy wanted something more. Toothy wanted to be a jack-o-lantern for someone who could really appreciate his big toothy grin.
So many children wanted scary pumpkins or designer pumpkins. It was very hard for a silly pumpkin to be picked out. Toothy noticed each day that October got later and later. Surely someone would pick him out! Toothy knew that all of the special Jack-o-lanterns who were sat on doorsteps would be swept up by the Great Pumpkin on Halloween night and would be taken to the great patch in the sky.
One day, rather late in the season, just when Toothy was about to give up on ever being chosen as a special Jack-o-lantern, he noticed a light coming from the edge of the pumkin patch. There were voices that floated towards Toothy through the chilly October air. "I need a pumpkin who is very brave! I need a pumpkin who's not afraid! I need a pumkin who'll sit through the night and carry a candle to give me bright light!"
Toothy felt excited. "I am!! I will!!" Toothy cried.
"Who said that?" cried the voice "who is so brave?"
"Me!!" cried Toothy. Out of the shadows emerged a witch. Toothy gasped. "This is perfect!!" As he looked hard at the witch, he noticed that they were perfectly suited for each other. The witch told Toothy that her name was Melvina Q. Spells. She wasn't the best spell caster in the world, but she'd sure try! Melvina packed Toothy up and carried him via broom back to her haunted house.
Toothy sat in the window and flickered all night every night through Halloween watching each miss-cast spell happily.
Finally, on the stroke of Halloween midnight, a cold November wind blew and Toothy was swept up by the Great Pumpkin and was taken to the great Pumpkin patch in the sky. Melvina waved good-bye and called "I'll pick you out next year my perfect pumpkin!"
Toothy smiled his big toothy grin and thought about how wonderful it was to have been someone's perfect pumpkin!
Once Quigley had finished telling the tale of Toothy, Wigley suggests that you all continue your tour by walking through the neighborhood in Spooksville known as New Tristram.
