Tell Me

Tell me what you want.

Don't tell me what you could do,
What you should do,
What you must do.

Tell me what you want.

We couch things so carefully,
Knowing what may not be.

But today I feel reckless,
Rebellious, riotous.
Just wanting

To know what you want.

Shhh

He said, "Shhhh -
Let me,"
And took control.

I gave in,
Gave up,
And gave away.

To be tied,
Restrained,
And yet so free.

He said "Shhhh-
Let me,"
And I said, "Please."

Come again.
Come now.
And come in me.

Going Back

I went back to find
What I had lost
And thought it would be okay.

It was not.

There is reserve.
There is space.
There are others now.

Before
I had nothing
To focus on but you.
All else were periphery.

Today
I have to focus
On so many other things.
You have become periphery.

We have shifted.

Our time has gone.
Our view has changed.
Our gears have moved.

We have become unsettled. I'm sorry.

Sometimes

Sometimes
I don't want
To hear about her.
But I don't tell you that.

I say,
"Wow."
"Really?"
"Cool."

Sometimes
I really want
To shout at you.
To scream at you

And say,
"I don't care!"
"Shut Up!"
"If you love her, why did you call me?"

But instead
I laugh
And act interested.
Sometimes.
