Welcome! This is where I share stuff about my other passion- writing. I mainly write song lyrics but sometimes it just comes out more in the form of a poem. All material published on this page is original and must not be copied or used to gain credit. Meanwhile, I hope you enjoy reading my work! |

Destiny I know I'm not perfect. They say I've got a lot to learn Before I can live the dream for which I yearn. I may be young, but I have so much to say, And no-one can stand in my way. People say I dream too much But it isn't just a fantasy, 'Cos one of these days I'm gonna see the world And fulfill my destiny.
Can't concentrate at college, 'Cos there are other places I wanna be, So that I can uncover the hidden talents in me. It may take time, but down inside I know This is the only way I wanna go. People say i'm too idealistic And can't accept reality, But one of these days I'm gonna see the world And fulfill my destiny.
Life's too short to sit around Hanging about and wasting precious time. I've got to get out there and find out what's mine. It may be hard, who knows what I may face? But I'm determined to set the pace. Some people sit and hide away, But I wanna show the best in me, And one of these days I'm gonna show the world And fulfill my destiny! |

Sitting On The Wall Of An Empty Playground Sitting on the wall of an empty playground, She tries so hard to wipe the tears from her eyes. But the colourful swings and slides are just blurs around her And she's like this every day, it's never a surprise.
Sitting at a desk in an empty classroom, She tries so hard to pretend that she doesn't care. But she knows tomorrow there'll be someone waiting for her, 'Cos she gets it every day, it happens everywhere.
All she wants to be is loved and respected, But the other children don't want her in their games. She's spent her whole short life being teased and rejected, But the others don't seem to care, they just want to call her names.
Sitting on the wall of a crowded playground The bell had rung for recess at half past ten. And she prays that they don't come, but the children surround her, And she knows there's no escape- she's in for it again.
All she wants to be is loved and respected, But all she's ever been is a lost and lonely girl. She's spent her whole short life being teased and rejected And she knows she'll never belong in this cold, cruel world.
Sitting on the wall of an empty playground, She tries so hard to wipe the tears from her eyes. But the colourful swings and slides are just blurs around her And she's like this every day, it's never a surprise. |
