I don't see why they don't want to know
They just won't accept it or won't admit it
Believe they're doing people a favor
But really it's not. It's their selfish behavior
Refuse to accept the facts to avoid making change
Life's so much simplier when you ignore reality
Apparently it's too much work knowing what's wrong
It's too much to ask to admit you're wrong
Our greed and pride stick out like a sore thumb
Such a terrible waste, a mind being so blind
Don't understand why they can't accept it and move on
Won't compromise, won't give reality a chance
We're all conservatives at heart... stubborn fools
It is said we can't handle the truth
But instead we refuse to acknowledge the fact
The fact that what we believe is inhibiting us
We prevent ourselves from becoming better
Til we change our ways or death do us part
Which ever we choose first...
