The demands of our present social, economic, and political realities prompt us to resist more defiantly the continuing onslaught of international white supremacy and its attendant forces of privatization and profiteering for world domination. Racism, capitalism, fascism, and imperialism are our mortal enemies. Much of the cultural and spiritual legacy of humankind evolves toward other objectives: adequate nutrition and health care, decent housing, genuine education, honest use and distribution of land and wealth, pursuit of peace-oriented international relations, and JUSTICE -- for all. It is a struggle to which we are committed.
We at Manjaro strive to join the ranks of the great teachers, artists, and activists -- past and present -- who have given their gifts and lives toward an awakening of the people: toward confronting the classes and enlightening the masses. As the late Steve Biko of South Africa is known to have declared, "The Greatest Weapon of the Oppressor is the Mind of the Oppressed." We must continue our efforts to liberate oppressed minds. We strive beyond mere survival or individual "prosperity" toward an authentic development of our collective human potential and material resources. Now!
