July
?It's been a bittersweet 2004 season.  The team has enjoyed plenty of successes with Bill once again leading the charge with six victories.  Adam has been tearing up the cat 4's and will be looking to do the same next year in the 3's as long as the races are not more than 53.2 miles which seems to be his current limitation.  Most of the guys on the squad seem to be meeting or exceeding their expectations which is great.  It is time for many of us to take a week or two to recharge and then gear it up for the late season goals like Chris Hinds Crit, GMSR and Bob Beals before we go into our winter slumber.
The important thing is to get that much needed rest so you will not be overtrained and have to slog up the mountain passes of Vermont.  Skip riding on that Saturday in favor of a family BBQ.  Do some yardwork.  Ride the bikepath with the kids.  You'd be surprised how much a little R&R will do for you. If you haven't had the best of season's thusfar, you might notice that your results suddenly improve as you are recharged and ready for August/September while other guys are burning out and shutting down.
