I received an e-mail from an old friend tonight who mentioned reading about my life here on my site and that reminded me that I had started a blog.

I see that I last talked about having steady work (I'm a casual) until mid-September but I have to update that.    On July 18th I found out I have uterine cancer.  I continued working until August 21st but finally had to give in to the stress and fatigue.  I'm due to have my surgery on Sept. 7th at VGH in Vancouver and I'm currently going through a mixture of fear and anxiety.  I'm fearful that they'll discover the cancer has spread but I'm anxious to have it over with.  One great side benefit (if you can call anything connected with cancer a benefit) is that I am seeing some of the best medical experts available and the cancer clinic and society see that I have all the help and information at their disposal.

I hope it's not too long before I'm back with another update.
