WISE STARS!

Daniel 12 vs 3 "And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever."

This verse is at the end of the book of Daniel, throughout Daniel we have read of various visions and prophecies that Daniel has seen/made. This vision/prophecy concerns the time when the end shall come. This verse however refers to those who shall be saved when the Lord Jesus returns.

Though you are baptised will you be saved? Once you have been baptised its no time to sit down and relax no by all means you must work hard to preach the word of the Lord.

Yesterday, I was sitting in the car waiting for my Mum and brother to return and as people passed the car I wondered aloud to God, "Lord how many will be saved?". And at that time I felt great sorrow for those who passed by (many of whom were probably not baptised and did not acknowledge God). And I thought 'How can I sit and relax fearing people will laugh when there are many out there who just need to be preached to?'

We have been charged by Jesus to "preach the kingdom of God" (Luke 9 vs 2). And so we must regardless of our fear. I do not want to feel that biting guilt knowing that I could have saved someone just by talking to them.

Remember the promises God has given us, and think how much God loved us sinners to give up his perfect sinless son to die for us, who do not deserve eternal life. This however is the promises that if we follow the Lord and preach his word we shall have everlasting life. Do you wish to deny people the kingdom of God? If the answer is no then you shall "shine as the brightness of the firmament." and if you "turn many to righteousness." shall be "as the stars for ever and ever." So preach!
