Your body IS the temple.

2 Chronicles 24 vs 13 “So the workmen wrought, and the work was perfected by them, and they set the house of God in his state, and strengthened it.”

Let me set the verse in context. Joash (the King of Judah who came to the throne at the age of seven) had commanded that the collection which Moses had commanded of Israel in the wilderness so that the House of the Lord could be repaired. I suppose now you are wondering exactly how that links with the title.

Well, while the context of the verse is not related the verse quoted is. Our bodies have to be presented as ‘a living sacrifice’ perfect in every way so that we can be part of House of the Lord that he is building with us. We are told that Jesus is our chief corner stone, used to set the other stones by, so taking that analogy we have to follow Jesus’ example in order to be used in the construction of the bodily temple of the Lord.

Yes though this meditation is short, I hope you have learnt something of great importance. Follow the Lord in everyway and a temple that surpasses that of King Solomon’s will be built.
