ELDER: Oh, you must be the roofers I sent for....

ELDER: I've been waiting for you two....
ASHTON: But we dont have any tools... we're not....
ELDER: Oh, you lost your tools on your journey, eh? No matter... I'll get you
some of mine....

CHAPTER 1:
In Mars Village, Claude, Rena, and Celine are dining in a restaurant....
CLAUDE: Mmm... this IS good stuff....
CELINE: Yes. It IS a prime example of fine design....
RENA: Yes!....
....
RENA: You know, I've been thinking about birthdays lately.
CELINE: What, darling?
RENA: It's pretty amazing, actually. Month by month, people everywhere are
born....
CLAUDE: That makes me wonder about our own birthdays....
RENA: Yes, it does. (enthusiasm building) ... And THAT'S my next point.

RENA: ... I do seem like a "May" person, don't I?
CELINE: ....?
CLAUDE: ... I guess... yeah, you're a may person.
RENA: Well, you DO seem like a January person to me.
CLAUDE: Well, I DO feel like a January person myself....
RENA: Is there anybody you know who would seem to have a birthday in a
different month.
CELINE: ....
CLAUDE: I don't know... maybe Precis. I always pictured her being born in
June... it's just an impression, I guess. Yet, I still picture her as a
Pisces. Hmmm....
CELINE: ... Oh, that reminds me of that old poem. Ah - hem!... 30 days has
September... April, June, and November....
RENA: Yeah, we all know THAT one....
CLAUDE: ... This reminds me alot about kids....
RENA: Kids?
CLAUDE: Sure, with all of our talk about brithdays and such.

CLAUDE: The birth of a child is simply amazing... the concept of a NEW person.
RENA and CELINE: ....
CLAUDE: (enthusiasm building) ... And that one-of-a-kind personality of a
child - there's nothing like it....

CELINE: ... Oh, I almost forgot, darlings ! Ashton and Dias are stopping buy
in town.
CLAUDE: Really?
CELINE: Yeah, but I have to clean out my house later. Would you like to help?
CLAUDE and RENA: ....

RENA: (whispering to Claude) What should we do?
CLAUDE: (whispering) Well, what were we going to do anyway? Why not help her
after all?....

CHAPTER 2:
Ashton and Dias are wandering about town....
ASHTON: Gee, it's a happy day, isn't it!?
DIAS: ... Yeah... real... "happy." ....

Several children come running towards Dias and Ashton.
CHILD 1: Look, it's the man who saved us!
CHILD 2: And there's another man with him, with CUTE dragons behind him!
CHILD 3: Can I see the dragons!?
ASHTON: Eh... sure, I guess....
DIAS: ....
ASHTON: See? That one's Gyoro, and the other's Ururun....
CHILD 2: COOL!
CHILD 1: Come with us? Could you play with us? Please?
CHILD 3: Come! COME!!!!
DIAS and ASHTON: ....

ASHTON: ... Well WE were going to the hotel....
CHILDREN: COME ON, PLEASE!!!!????
DIAS: ... OK, fine... you can come with us....
CHILDREN: TO THE HOTEL!!!!
CHAPTER 3:
Claude, Rena, and Celine are cleaning Celine's house....
CELINE: OK, we'll start with this section first....
CLAUDE and RENA: ....
CELINE: Then we'll SWOOP down the hall, darlings, and attack each room
one-by-one!
CLAUDE and RENA: ....
....
CLAUDE: (boredom and annoyance building) And... where are you going to PUT all
this stuff?....
CELINE: Oh... I have a dumpster out back I'm renting. We'll wheel that away
when we're done....

CELINE: Well... LET'S GET TO WORK!!!!
CLAUDE and RENA: ....
CHAPTER 4:
Dias and Ashton are travelling with the children to the Hotel....
DIAS: ....
ASHTON: Yes, children, it's a HAPPY day... think... HAPPY!!!!
GYORO and URURUN: ....
DIAS: They're NOT interested in your "happy" lecture....
ASHTON: ....
CHILD 2: Come on, hurry up! The hotel's right over there!
CHILD 3: Yeah, walk a little faster!
CHILD 1: No... RUN... RUN!!!!
Finally, they arrive at the hotel, and reserve a room. They are now in the
second story hall and are approaching the room....
DIAS: ... OK, children, why don't you stay here while I check out the room....
ASHTON: ....?
DIAS: (whispering to Ashton) Just play along....
ASHTON: ... Oh, right, RIIIIGHT!!!!... Stay out here....
Dias and Ashton enter the room.
DIAS: We're in a sticky situation here!
ASHTON: How was my act?
DIAS: ... You overdid it!... Anyway... we can't watch these kids forever!
ASHTON: So, what'll we do?
DIAS: We have to make a run for it!
ASHTON: How?
DIAS: That window!
ASHTON: We have to JUMP!!!!???? (nervously) BUT I DON'T LIKE HEIGHTS!!!!
DIAS: Relax, there's rope right over there....
ASHTON: ....
CHAPTER 5:
CLAUDE: Uh, Celine, the dumpster is full.
CELINE: Already!?
RENA: Will we have to move it away?
CELINE: Yes, darlings, we ALL will have to push this thing....
CLAUDE and RENA: ....
CELINE: Still, remember that we're done with the actual clean-up....
CLAUDE: Thank goodness....
The three of them begin to move the dumpster.
RENA: Ergh! This is heavy!....
CELINE: I hinted that this would be... urgh... no picknick....
CLAUDE: ... urgh....
After the three of them push some more, they begin to tire....
CLAUDE: Let's put this to the side....
The three of them leave the dumpster by a hotel wall....
RENA: Let's just remember to come back for this....
CHAPTER 6:
DIAS: OK, the ropes already, let's climb.
ASHTON: Yes, freedom at last!
They look over the window ledge....
DIAS: Hey, that dumpster will soften our fall even more.
ASHTON: But I don't like trash!
GYORO and URURUN: Awrk, awrk, awroo!....
DIAS: Quit complaining, nobody does...
ASHTON: (in a cry - baby voice) ... I don't wanna touch trash!
DIAS: ... OK, fine... we'll climb to the roof....
They use the rope to get to the roof.
ASHTON: OK! ... Now what?
DIAS: We find another way down....
The rope can't get to a safe distance from the ground.
ASHTON: ....
GYORO and URURUN: ....
DIAS: We can make a jump to the Elder's roof....
ASHTON: Can we?....
They make the jump.
DIAS: Now we can get down....
As they are about to climb down, the Elder walks out of his house....
ELDER: Oh, you must be the roofers I sent for....
DIAS: But....
ELDER: I've been waiting for you two....
ASHTON: But we dont have any tools... we're not....
ELDER: Oh, you lost your tools on your journey, eh? No matter... I'll get you
some of mine....
DIAS: But....
The Elder already went inside his house. Before Dias and Leon could leave, he
returned with roofing tools. He threw them up to Dias and Ashton.
ELDER: OK, use these wisely. I need this fixed by tomorrow, you know....
DIAS: (sigh) ... We'll try....
ASHTON: You know, thinking about that, there could be an alternate meaning
hidden in there....
DIAS: ... Shut up, just shup up!....
ASHTON: ....
DIAS: (shaking his head) Whoa - boy....
CHAPTER 7:
CLAUDE: Well, now what, Celine? We finished cleaning up, didn't we?
CELINE: Yes, darlings, and it was worth it.
RENA: Thank goodness we're done....
CELINE: ... The Elder has invited us over for a feast later today.
CLAUDE: Really!?
RENA: Wow...
CELINE: Yes. It'll be fun.
CLAUDE: Mmmm... food....
Smack!
RENA: ALL YOU CAN THINK ABOUT IS FOOD!!!!???? ... Have some manners, won't you!
CLAUDE: Oooowwww....

ASHTON: It seems to be good... at least, for an amateur roofer....

DIAS: I still can't believe we ended up doing this....
ASHTON: Well, we couldn't let down the Elder....
DIAS: We COULD have told him we weren't the roofers....

CHAPTER 8:
At the party....
CELINE: This IS good food... thank you!
ELDER: Yes, I used the old recipe....
CLAUDE: I LOVE this food!!....
Clunk!
RENA: PLEASE, CLAUDE, MUST YOU ALWAYS ACT STUPID!!!!????
CLAUDE: Sorry, sheesh....

CELINE: It's good that we came when we did - it's beginning to rain....
Meanwhile....
DIAS: Oh, GREAT!.... Rain.
ASHTON: So much for the sunny day....
DIAS: ....
Crackle... creak....
DIAS and ASHTON: Uh... oh....

CRASH!!!! BANG!!!! SPLAT!!!!
EVERYBODY: ....
The roof collapsed, sending Ashton and Dias right on top of the Elder's table.
Yes - it was the one with all the food.
CELINE: Aaah!!!! What's this!?
ELDER: MY ROOF!!!!
CLAUDE: ....?
RENA: Dias!? Ashton!?....
DIAS: ....
ASHTON: ... Hello....?....
Scene pauses with everyone centered. Then it fades....

Several hours later....
DIAS: What a mess that was back there....
ASHTON: You said it!
GYORO and URURUN: Awrk, awrk, awrk, awroo, awroo, awrk, awroo!....
DIAS: Uh-oh... you're dragons are acting up because of company....
ASHTON: Huh... oh, no....
CHILD 1: Oh, THERE you are!!!!
CHILD 2: We've been looking all over for you!
CLILD 3: Come play with us!!!!
CHILD 1: READ ME A STORY!!!!
CHILD 2: PLAY A GAME WITH ME!!!!
CHILD 3: HOW ABOUT... HIDE AND SEEK!!!!????
DIAS and ASHTON: ... We'll play that!
Dias and Ashton run away from the children as fast as possible....
CHILDREN: COME BACK HERE!!!!!!!!
The children chase them. The scene fades when everyone runs out of view. End.
