EPISODE 2: The Hairpin:

Rena has to "dig" for her hairpin:
RENA: OK! A little more, just a bit more!
PRECIS: C'mon! This machine of mine should work quicker than that!
RENA: Well, it isn't!!

CHAPTER 1:
In the town of Linga....
CLAUDE: (whistle, whistle)
Rena enters the room. She looks nervous, and there seems to be something
different about her.
CLAUDE: Rena? What's wrong?
RENA: My hairpin!! It's missing!
CLAUDE: OK, calm down. Retrace your steps from this morning....
RENA: Well, I woke up, that's a fact. Then, I took a walk around town. The
next thing I knew, it was gone.
CLAUDE: You must have lost it in town....
RENA: If I remember right, I thought I heard a strange sound while I was
walking in the central part of town....
CLAUDE: Then that's where it dropped!
RENA: Stay here! I'll be right back!
Rena leaves the room.
CLAUDE: I hope she finds it....
CHAPTER 2:
LEON: (cough, cough). I'm not feeling so good.
BOWMAN: Are you sick? No problem, son! I have just the thing for you!
LEON: What's this?
BOWMAN: Oh, just some pills that I concocted from an herb. Here you go!
Bowman gives Leon a pill.
BOWMAN: You should feel better now....
LEON: Meow!!
BOWMAN: What?
LEON: Meow, meow!!
BOWMAN: What are you doing?
Leon then ran away on all fours!
BOWMAN: ... Maybe I should have not given him a cat pill....
CHAPTER 3:
RENA: Hmmm....
Rena continues her search for her hairpin.
RENA: ... If I'm not mistaking, I think I dropped it right here, in this....
hole??
Rena came across a part of the road which has been patched up.
RENA: Wait a minute! This wasn't fixed before!! NOOOO!!!! Now what am I going
to do!?
PRECIS: Hello, Rena!! Need help?
RENA: ....
PRECIS: I'll build you a machine made to dig your hairpin out!
RENA: How did you know it was my hairpin which was missing?
PRECIS: Well, it's obvious! ANYONE who knows you can tell. I sure can....
RENA: Well, I'll have to dig it out quick!
PRECIS: Wait right here!! I'll be back shortly with a digging machine, OK?
RENA: Thanks, Precis.
CHAPTER 4:
Leon is running through the town on all fours.
LEON: Meow, meow!!
CHILD: Mommy, look at him!
BYSTANDER: What is that kid doing?
LEON: Meow, meow!
CHILD: And who is that chasing him?
BOWMAN: Come back here! What am I going to do with you!?
Nearby, Ashton was walking out of a shop carrying a bunch of small barrels.
ASHTON: Mmmm... nice barrels, even a colorful one here!
Leon ran into Ashton, making him drop all of the barrels. Leon kept running
without even noticing Ashton.
ASHTON: Doh! Now I'll have to pick all of these up....
Bowman, who was following Leon, then trampled over Ashton's barrels, breaking
every single one.
ASHTON: (cries)
CHAPTER 5:
RENA: There you are, Precis! I've been waiting for you.
PRECIS: Here it is, but I still didn't name it. Ah, well... no matter!
RENA: Could I use it? It's MY hairpin, you know....
PRECIS: Well, I suppose...
RENA: Thanks!
Rena puts on equiptment, and a pair of goggles. The machine is held with two
handles, and a chisel - like delice vibrates up and down to break the stone.
RENA: Here I go!....
The machine makes a loud noise while operating. Bystanders are crowded around
to see what all the commotion is about.
RENA: IiIiT SsShouUuUld BeEeE out NnoWwW....
PRECIS: Faster!
RENA: OK! A little more, just a bit more!
PRECIS: C'mon! This machine of mine should work quicker than that!
RENA: Well, it isn't!!
Within minutes, Rena's hairpin was exposed. Rena then reaches down to pick it
up....
CHAPTER 6:
LEON: Mow, meow!
BOWMAN: Come back here!!
Leon jumped over several crates, then was running on a stone road.
BOWMAN: This is crazy! How will I ever catch him?
Nearby, Rena was digging out her hairpin.
RENA: Finally, I'll be able to wear my hairpin again.
LEON: Meow, meow!
RENA: Hello, Leon... what!?
Leon snatched Rena's hairpin in his mouth just as she was about to pick it up.
RENA: HEY!! What are you doing!?
BOWMAN: No time to explain - (comtinues running) come back, Leon!
Leon ran around a few corners, then dropped the hairpin in a deep hole.
BOWMAN: There you are!
LEON: Bowman, what am I doing here?
BOWMAN: (thinking) The effects of the medicine must have worn off....
LEON: And why am I on all fours?....
BOWMAN: It's a long story....
Rena and Precis catch up to Bowman and Leon.
RENA: Leon, what were you doing!?
BOWMAN: I can explain. He was sick, and I gave him cat pills.
RENA: Cat pills!!??
LEON: CAT PILLS!!??
PRECIS: Huh?
BOWMAN: Well, I thought they would work better on him! He has cat ears, you
know.
PRECIS: But where's Rena's hairpin now??
Bowman looks around, then spots it in a deep, cave - like hole.
BOWMAN: Oh, no. It's down there, in that hole!
END
Rena is wearing climbing equiptment invented by Precis.
RENA: Lower! Lower! Almost there!
PRECIS: Hurry up! I can't hold this thing forever, you know!
RENA: Just lower me some more!
Rena reaches for her hairpin, but still can't reach it.
RENA: It needs to be lower!
PRECIS: That's as far as it will go!
RENA: .... Higher it! Higher, a little higher!
