Donna Maree Stratford was born 3rd March 1964, one of four children to Albert and Elaine of Biloela. Donna being the youngest. Donna went with her sisters Diane and Jennifer and brother John to school in Biloela. After completing her education. Donna entered the local work force. Christopher was born in February 1983 with Jessica arriving in April 1987. Donna was involved in many activities once the children were older. In the children�s education, social and sports events. After sometime Donna became a JP,which she studied very hard for. Donna was involved many associations, taking on office bearing duties and helping fund raise for these worthy associations, Biloela branch of Queenlsand cancer foundation, darts association, tuckshop at the primary and high school. She also worked as a Lolly Pop Lady for sometime before her illness. Donna and her mother knitted and crocheted many items for the fund raising functions such as Cent Sales ECT�.
After completing his education Christopher venture out into the workforce and this took him to Gladstone where he is now working. He has settled down in that town with his partner Kandy. Donna has struggled over the past 18 months with cancer. Being in and out of hospital in Brisbane, Rockhampton and Biloela.
One of Donna�s last wishes was to have a family Christmas. This came true. Diane and family from Emerald, John and family from Moranbah, Jennifer and family from Moura, grandmother Louise from Maryborough, cousin Christine and family from Bundaberg together with son Christopher and Kandy of Gladstone, parents Albert and Elaine, daughter Jessica, aunt and uncle Margaret and Adrian and Mark gathered to help Donna celebrate this occasion. Donna was fortunate enough to be able to leave hospital for a short period on the Saturday before Christmas and Christmas day.
Christopher announced his engagement to his girlfriend Kandy on this day with his mother�s blessing.
Donna is at peace now and will be sadly missed by her family, relations, friends and community. |
