NEWS 21/12/2006 This really sucks, filming of 'Rituals' wrapped last week. I seriously thought it was this week! Why didn't those producers called me or emailed me a callsheet that the shoot was last week? In the beginning of December I sent the production manager an email to ask if and when I get a callsheet. It's so shit and I can't stand it! ... But 'Calo' wrapped today, I had lots of fun on set! We filmed it in the studio and the set looked great. I made some pics and will put them online soon! Happy birthday to Kiefer and Marco who are both turning 40 today!
NEWS 17/12/2006 I changed the font of the website and put a photo above each section :-D. So this week production of the companyfilm has started, Wednesday Warchild concert 2006 will be broadcasted on RTL4 so you'd better watch it! Thursday 'Calo' will be filmed and I hope to be on the set of 'Rituals' as a production assistant on Friday, Saturday and Sunday! So it's going to be a busy but a great week just before Christmas!! Oh yes I still need to buy Christmaspresents...
NEWS 10/12/2006 I added a photo (see above) and my filmography!! It looks like I'm very expercienced haha which I am not, really. Last week I shot the short film 'Same Same But Different'! Soon to be online if everything works out well haha. I have a leadrole in an upcoming movie called 'Calo' which will be directed by Niels Smitshoek (3rd year collegestudent). I'm also an associate producer on this film. The film will have a philosophy-background, something new and I'm very excited about it.
NEWS 3/12/2006 I just got back for the premiere of 'Straight outta Turkiye'! Fikret was quite nervous before his film screened. It was a cool docu, very nice shots and I liked the mix of docu, feature and music video. He interviewed young people but also looked at older traditional people. It made the film even more greater! I'm really proud of him and I can't wait for his upcoming projects! For myself I remembered how my first film 'Deadly Normal' screened the first time, I remember that great feeling and how I would like to expercience that again. So.. I need to make a movie soon and send it out.
NEWS 24/11/2006 So both 'Jozef' and 'Lentebloesem' screened at the Amfika Filmfestival. The reactions of the audience were different than last year. They did laugh about 'Jozef' and I think they didn't got the point of 'Lentebloesem' since it was silent after the short was shown. But the jury said about 'Jozef': "Good cinematography, sound is excellent" and about 'Lentebloesem': "Very fascinating, good shots, nice music and a beautiful location...nomination". Yep a nomination. Me, Bart, Janine and Dagmar are all happy we got nominated but sadly our film 'Lentebloesem' will not screen at the regional filmfestival since I won't be a member of the NOVA (Amateur Video Organisation) next year.... I'm also in yesterday's local newpaper! You can see my pic!.. I'm not finished yet with 'Assilem'...
NEWS 21/11/2006 Sad news, I just heard Mr Robert Altman died yesterday. I saw him in February this year and in my FAQ I wrote about my 'meeting' with him. I regret it so much I didn't talk to him or waved at him. He was a great man, made lots of movies and I really did enjoyed the play 'Resurrection Blues' which he directed before he picked up his Lifetime Achievement Academy Award. I'm in bit of a shock because I hoped I would meet him again some day and ask him why he was looking at me or if he remembers me. I should have talked to him when I had the chance and should have listened to Robbie Williams. "Life IS too short to be afraid"... He was 81 years old. He will be missed...

NEWS 17/11/2006 Aight, my mate Fikret Ko�'s new film 'Staight outta TURKIYE' will have it's world premiere at the Blacksoil Filmfestival on December 3rd! Fikret will be there and so will I! It's a docu-fiction-music-video-movie about HipHop in Turkey. I've seen some scenes and it's very Fikret-style which is great. So, hope to see you at Black Soil! In case you forgot, Fikret was the cameraman on my movie 'Assilem' and he is taking all the sames classes as me! Also don't forget the Amfika Filmfestival where 'Jozef' and 'Lentebloesem' will screen the 21st!! I'm curious what people will think about both of the movies...
NEWS 14/11/2006 Most of my movies are online on here. Thanks a bunch Rein! I will update the stuff on the site asap. 'Assilem' is still in post-production. This week I'll have tests coming up so next week I'll be back to editing again. Hopefully I will have the film finished then. This week me and Pauline (one of the actors of Overleven) will also do an interview with the local newspaper about our experciences!!
NEWS 7/11/2006 I'm so happy, happy, happy! I just finished my rough cut but the most coolest thing is I am allowed to use music from music composer Justin R. Durban for 'Assilem'! His music perfectly fits with the short film, it sets the right mood. Justin is such a great composer and I thank him so much for letting me use his music! Thanks Justin! Tomorrow, I will go to TVZwolle talk to professionals (I'll make a companyfilm for them together with 4 other cool guys) and on Thursday Michele is coming to watch a rough cut of 'Assilem'!
NEWS 6/11/2006 Just a fast update..Tuesdaynight 21st of November both short films 'Jozef' and 'Lentebloesem' will screen at Amfika in Kampen, OV. I have directed 'Jozef' and I have drawn the storyboard and co-written 'Lentebloesem'.
NEWS 4/11/2006 Steven de Jong was a guest at CHN University again and I attented the class! Thanks Maaike!! It was nice seeing him again and I enjoyed listening to all his stories. I hadn't talked to him but he did have an I-have-seen-you-before-look on his face haha. As for 'Assilem' the deadline is next Friday the 10th! So upcoming week I will edit like a madman and just maybe maybe I'll have it online the week after that! Wish me luck! As for now, I'm celebrating since I have 111 dvd's in my dvdcollection!! YEAH!!! Whoo-hoo! Watch the movie 'Ordinary People' it's such a good movie!
NEWS 30/10/2006 Shoot went great! Thanks to an awesome crew and a great actor! Kim, thank you for coming all the way to the set to do the make-up. The wound looked so real and you did a great setnoise (READ: hitting Paul in the face)!. Paul, thanks man you're a great gaffer and thanks for helping out in the holiday. Fikret, my man you made some cool manualfocus shots! You know exactly what I mean, thanks so much for being a good D.O.P! I can't wait to work with you on your project on Thursday!! Dick, thanks a bunch for your actinggig! It was great working with you again and the last line in the movie... wow nobody could say it better than you can! I want to thank Heinrich and Michele for their directing tips, advice and support! Thanks mom for being a stand-in while I was testing shots and the lights. Also thanks to Bart and Ephraim, I'm sorry I had to re-schedule but we'll work together next project! Today I captured all the footage in Final Cut Pro at school, this week I'll try to edit as much as I can! ... Oh yes about that chair, I found one and it was hilarious. We were doing the scene and a piece of the chair went broken thanks to Dick haha!
NEWS 27/10/2006 Yesterday went to Marco Borsato concert! It was great! It was always an event that I wanted to attend and it was so cool! Week before that I went to Friend for Warchild concert which was also great. Please do me a favour and go to the Warchild website. Let's help those kids because everyone deserves to be a kid and to play....Just went to the viewing of 'Temo' where I worked on as a production assistant. I didn't know what to expect and after the film I don't know what to think. The film has some nice shots and some scenes were funny. My name was twice on the credits which I find reaaallllyyy cool! I think the runningscene that I did, has been cut out. I'm not sure because I haven't seen the entire film since the train I was in was delayed.. Sorry again... So I'm on the extras credits and as a P.A... pretty coolll haha. Well better go and get some sleep. Big day tomorrow with getting everything right in my head, shotlist, storyboard, think think think and re-think about the shootings on Sunday of what might go wrong so I'm prepared.. and make something so the sound is absolutely perrffecctooo... and find a decent chair... no not a director's chair but a propchair with railings haha...
NEWS 24/10/2006 Shooting had to start and end today but the actor got a paid job and asked me just three days for the 24th if I could re-schedule the shootings to Sunday. I called the crew, everyone is stressed and I wanted to make sure the actor is going to be here Sunday so I emailed him. After unreturned phonecalls and e-mails back and forth, the actor that was originally planned for the male lead backed out. I don't regret a word I said or typed to him. Dick Hulsebosch will take over the leadrole and I'm glad I can count on him. I want to say sorry to my mom for being stressed and thanks to Michele for giving me advice and tips on how to handle the situation. Thanks!!
NEWS 18/10/2006 I had to do the 30 sec assignment again of a person that doesn't speak and I casted Nico! The teacher really liked it and I like it as well! It is rated for 16 years and older, kids! Check it online at my projects!! I still have a lot to do so...
NEWS 15/10/2006 This week I did the camerawork of Bart's assignment. If I may say for myself I made some pretty nice shots. Bart is going to start editing this upcoming week. My college assignment of my selfportrait has got the title 'Assilem'. It is Melissa spelled backwords, yes very original thank you haha. This time Fikret will do the camerawork, I was inspired by the work of JJ Abrams so it will be shot in his style (lots of closeups, lots of manual focus shots). Ephraim will do the ligtning and Bart is soundguy. Today I had my first conversation with the leadactor Frank. He is a semi-professional actor and asked me a lot of questions about his character. Gosh I'm so not good at that kind of stuff but everything will be alright. Shooting starts 24th of October but I'm going to draw storyboards now. Tomorrow I'm visiting Nico in Amsterdam who I have worked with before on Hard Geluk and Overleven. So by the end of the week I hope I'll have everything finished; shotlist, storyboard, props, characterdescription, ligntningplan, catering, transportschedule and stuff like that..
NEWS 6/10/2006 I've done lots of things; I went to Rotterdam to shoot the short experimental movie, went to Hilversum the taping of 'Tros TV Show' and I went to the Dutch Film Festival which was on my wishlist! Watch the 'Tros TV Show' tonight, because you will see me sitting in the back between Reinout and John de Mol!! I'm also working on a film which will be directed by Heinrich, tomorrow is the meeting but it's not officially announced on his website or production website so...
NEWS 28/9/2006 Another assignment is making a short movie inspired by the music. I work with Lieneke and Bart on it, this will be expermimental. Check my projects... Today I received an email of Michele (producer of film 'Overleven') asking me if I was interested on working on another movie! YES I AM!! I did my secret-Chandler-dance and think I'm going to do that again!
NEWS 26/9/2006 I have a green light for my 2 minute short (selfportrait). They said no else in college is making a sort-of-feature about themselves so yeah they liked my idea and I'm pretty happy! Check my projects for the synopsis! I'm looking for crewmembers! If you're interested and live in or close to Overijssel, please email me! I'm also looking for a location which is a basement or a dark garage in the same area!... One of the other assignments that I have filmed is making one interesting shot of exact 30 seconds. It was a nice assignment, I shot the 3 movies with Fikret and Ephraim. Next week the teacher will give her opinion and of course I will put the 'movies' online!! Also drumrolls please.... NEWS 21/9/2006 The 2 minute short (selfportrait)... The synopsis and screenplay aren't perfect yet but the idea is exciting. Shooting this will be a big challenge since it's something I have never done before (read: lightning). This week I'll finish drawing storyboards, sketches, moodboard and the rest. In the meantime I have done a 1 minute film about a girl who's smoking. It's in the very last stages of editing but it's a completely boring movie. So not sure if I'll put it up here. Also cool news! The movie 'Matters of Life and Death' is filming the credits this weekend! I'm really proud of Joseph making his first film ever and I can't wait to see the endresult. I'm sure the short will do great at filmfestivals. Thank you Joe for letting me be part of it!!
NEWS 13/9/2006 I'm back in college and the assignments are up to my neck! The most important project that I'm working on and will be working on the next 7 weeks is a 2 minute short about myself (selfportrait). Once I've got a synopsis and a green light from the teachers you'll read it here...
NEWS 12/9/2006 Yesterday I went to a new show called 'Gelukkig je bent er'. It's an improvisating show hosted by Carlo Boszhard and one of the guests was Irene Moors! It was nice to see them both again in real life but nothing can beat the fun and joy I had on 'Telekids'. Show will be broadcasted upcoming Sunday the 17th on RTL 4, maybe you'll see me in the audience, maybe not. As for the film 'Hard Geluk', where I worked on as a production assistent, the director's cut will be shown at the HKU tomorrow and day after tomorrow! It's free for everyone who is interested. I can't come but there will be an official premiere sometime soon! I can't wait!
NEWS 6/9/2006 That is a wrap on 'Overleven'! I had so much fun on set and I learned so many things! I worked as a production assistant, mixer, clapper loader and was kinda-of-a-2nd Assistant Director for a day! I can't believe filming has wrapped, ten days went so fast. I want to thank Heinrich and Michele for giving me this amazing opportunity to work with a great cast and professional crew! This film is going to be wicked! NEWS 24/8/2006 Tomorrow will be the first shooting day of 'Overleven'! I'm going camping (sleeping on the set). It's going to be a big day, I'm excited and I hope no one will thai- tsji- me (READ: Kill me) haha.
NEWS 22/8/2006 In three days we will be shooting 'Overleven'!! We are still looking for 20 extras who can join us on the 26th! At the moment I'm working on transport sheets for the actors and drivers. After that, I will work on the production booklet for crew! I learn a lot, like if you change one little thing Michele (producer) have to change a hunderd other things and I need to change a quarter of that hundred. It can be exhausting sometimes but I can't complain how much I learn about producing every day.
NEWS 17/8/2006 Today I made callsheets for the crew, made callsheets for the cast, made callsheets for the extras and I called the extras! Yeah I know how to make callsheets haha!! Tomorrow I'll be in Michele's office to see if everything I made today is ok. Also I believe we don't have enough extras yet, so if you're 12- 19 years old, want to shoot on the 25th or 26th in Almere, email me! I can put you on the list!
NEWS 11/8/2006 Leonie, I and Alexander (also assistant art director) worked hard cleaning the livingroom, bedroom and kitchen. These will be one of the places where we are going to shoot. Tuesday we will start painting the walls and I like painting! It was a long day but I'm glad Barbara (general production) was there to crack me up. She is so funny and you were a hero even though no one of us knew the way back to the set for about an hour haha!
NEWS 10/8/2006 It was nice to meet everyone of the departments, it's also kinda cool that everyone is doing their thing for a living and I'm still a student. I felt small but I learned so much by just looking at everyone. I'm very happy that I'm part of the crew. Not only as a production assistant of 'Overleven', but I'm also the assistant of the art director as of today! Tomorrow I'll help to decorate, paint and dress the set together with the art director Leonie. But I don't feel well right now, I got a stomachache and my leg hurts so I'm off to bed...

NEWS 20/7/2006 No actingjobs for me so back to cool-behind-the-scenes-jobs!! I just came back from an (English!?) interview with professional director Heinrich Dahms and producer Michele in Amsterdam, I was so nervous but it went well. I think I'm welcome on board and I will be working as a production assistant (and may do continuity). We are still looking for people who can do the lights and a talented art director, so if you're interested, visit this website, contact them and tell them I send you! Production will start 25th of August but I also will be involved in pre-production so that will be exciting! I can't wait! Eventually when evertyhing is wrapped and 210 days have past *lol*, this movie called 'Overleven' (or 'Survival' in English) will screen at the first edition of the Life Under 20 Film Festival!! Also script of 'In the Woods' is finished. I'm not sure yet when, where, who... and most importantly HOW I'm going to shoot it or HOW we will shoot it..
NEWS 6/7/2006 I'm off from school/college!! Yeah!! Whoo-hoo! I have a 9,7 on my card and a 10 is the highest score! My previous school never gave students such a high grade so I'm quite happy! As for next year I will be studying English and cinematography. Photography is still fun, but I'd like to do it more as a hobby... New headshots were taken today and will send them to a producer and a castingagency tomorrow. IF I get booked for a job, you will be the first to know. I'm also writing the second draft of 'In The Woods'... TO BE CONTINUED...
NEWS 27/6/2006 That is a wrap on 'Temo'! Two days ago the last scenes were shot, I found it really cool because most were exterior shots and in the dark! I definitely would like to shoot in the dark, you can create a certain mood which is beautiful. For one scene they did not had enough extras so all the production assistants are in the movie! I think you can see my back in the restaurant/partyscene. For another scene Ibrahim (the director) was looking for 2 Arabic Men so I asked if I could play a role and he said 'Do you want to? Oh ok'. All I had to do was run and sneak upon someone who wasn't even there, so it was very funny but he said that the shot that he will most likely use is the one where you see my back!! So you won't see that it was me but maybe maybe he will change his mind and edit me where you can see my eyes and see that it is me! I do hope I'd get a castcredit for this haha. Big thanks to Ibrahim for giving me the role and of course letting me be part of this project. Thanks to Danitsja, Bart and Beri for the calls, callsheets and letting me work on this project as a production assistant! Thanks guys!...Also not big news but nice to mention, I've seen Bruce Willis today. I didn't shake hands with him, what a pity. He did smile though, look!
NEWS 23/6/2006 Today the 1 minute film 'Lentebloesem' premiered at school. People liked it and I think Bart, Janine, Dagmar and myself did a great job. Maybe we will send them to some festivals but we are not sure yet. 'Feetlove' of Mischa Reining screened too and it's a very funny film. I finally put the 'Hot Wok Chilli Commercial' online without the subtitles though (Sorry). 'Feetlove' is online as well, it would be cool if you'd check them out and let me know what you think about it. Thank you!
NEWS 20/6/2006 Today the 1 minute film 'Feetlove' of Mischa Reining was filmed and I had the leadrole. Well my feet had the leadrole actually. Acting with your feet is crazy but it was fun. I'm not sure how the final movie will look like but yeah this movie will also screen Friday the 23rd at school!
NEWS 19/6/2006 Yesterday I was on the set of 'Temo'! The weather was so hot but it went great. I was the camera assistant; watching every take on the watchman(monitor), helping out Bart (cameraman) with the tripod (statief in English I guess), connect watchman to the camera, be a boom operator for one take and put the glasses on the director's nose! Whaha yeah cool isn't it?
NEWS 17/6/2006 The 1 minute movie has wrapped! Dagmar is editing and it will be screened on Friday the 23rd of June at school! We were all stressed because of other schoolprojects that needed to be finished and we only had an hour to shoot the entire film which was quite short. But it went alright. I'm really glad that those other schoolprojects are finished too! Now I can really focus on making movies. I have read the script of 'Temo', it's about a struggling screenwriter and his life who wants to make a movie about this boy Temo who surivived a massacre in Iraq. It's was nice to read it and (if I'm lucky, I think) tomorrow I'm on the set again of 'Temo'.
NEWS 8/6/2006 Those (stupid) people didn't contacted me about the production info and I heard that they had too many extras, so I am NOT in the telefilm 'Eigenheimers'. It's so unfair, but good luck to the filmmakers. We will be filming the 1 minute movie in 5 days!! Also added more stuff on my imdb.com profile
NEWS 3/6/2006 Last week I went to the Flevolands Film Festival, a very very small filmfestival. I've seen the producer Michael Fedun, the director of 'Vet Hard' Tim Oliehoek and director of 'Langer Licht'David Lammers. I really wanted to talk to both of them but I was kinda shy and they looked very busy. I did take a picture with Tim and it will be online soon I hope! Also production of the one minute film (college project) starts on 13th of June. It will be a great short! I'm really excited because it has a very good story. Today I was on the set of 'Temo' as a production assistant. It was great fun as usual and I haven't had the time to read the script yet so I'll read it now!
NEWS 26/5/2006 So this is so fucked up right now! Yesterday I thought I'd take a break from the Internet, watch some movies and just relax. I just checked my email today and I received 2 callsheets. It turns out I just missed 2 productions days! This totally sucks! Damnit! I'm really sorry and I apologize to everyone working on 'Temo'. I promise I'll check my email every day and next time I'm scheduled I'll be there! I'm so sorry!!
NEWS 20/5/2006 Changed the font haha! I have had an awesome time on the set of Hard Geluk! I learned so much and it was a great expercience! On Monday I'll write my paper about it and will write about how cool it was on here. I've met new cool people and the producers offered me another job (maybe as an assistant of the assistant director) which will be a new feature film of 90 minutes directed by Ibrahim Selman! I'm really excited about that! ... Beri, one of the producers who is also a writer would like to read the script of ' In the woods' so I will be working on that asap. Very cool of her she wants to take a look at it!... Also for real, no April Fool Jokes anymore, they WILL shoot a Dutch feature film in my town and they are looking for extras. I sent them an email and they said see you on the set! But you know, I believe it when I'm on the set, til that time I hope not to get dissapointed.... I'm still a producer, well kinda haha, I'm producing 'The One Second Film'! It's for a good cause and will change filmhistory when it comes out!!... In college I have another project on the way, it will be a one minute film and the script was finished within 40 minutes! It was funny since I'm working with people who I have not worked with before. We are all on the same line, I guess I never expercienced that before. It will be wicked and will keep you up to date!

NEWS 11/5/2006 I have met the producers, director and camera operator of Hard Geluk and tomorrow I will have my first production day on the set of 'Hard Geluk'. I'm really looking forward to it! Something else that I wanted to mention... As you may know I'm a BIG fan of 'The X-files' and I found a great website where you sign a petition 'WE WANT ANOTHER X-FILES MOVIE NOW'. I'm lucky number 8840 and I'm sure we can make the studios convince that there is still an audience for another movie!! So please do me a favor and sign the petition!! THANKS!!

NEWS 29/4/2006 I don't know how to describe the premiere or viewing of 'Jozef'. I didn't get any reactions so I really don't know if they digged it or not. Also it was too bad one of the actors couldn't make it. Anyways I'm just really glad that this project is behind me... The shooting of the Tamara Maria Theatre Tour has wrapped. It went better than the previous time and a clip will be online soon!!...Yesterday I was a production assistant on the set of 'Laatste Bos'! It was really hard working with a crew of 23 people but lots of fun. It was sooo cool and funny! I did various jobs on and around the set from carrying stuff, building up the set, buy a thankyou card for the actors, meeting with the executive producer and producer about food, unload the trucks, load the trucks, run to the set with a I-don't-know-what-it's-called, look for a battery, see if nothing is left behind, walk with the head of hair and make-up to the set, run between the 2 sets, make sure basecamp doens't fly away.. it was awesome! Basecamp almost flew away because of the wind haha. I took some pictures which will be online soon. It was exciting and I'm looking forward to be a production assistant again on another movie in May!!!
NEWS 22/4/2006 Two days left for the premiere! Today I finished post-production! Also the title changed from 'Stupederitus' to 'Jozef', because (in a way) Jozef is the leadcharacter and this title sounds much better. I'm looking forward to the premiere I think my editing is good, some mistakes but hopefully you won't notice them haha... And I've got other exciting news! A few days ago I read on a website that a studentfilm is looking for production assistents, I emailed them and today I got a phonecall! Friday the 28th I will be a production assistant on the set of a Dutch Film and Television Academy (NFTA)!! Shooting will be held near Amsterdam and I'm really happy!!
NEWS 18/4/2006 Yep the premiere is getting closer with only 6 days left! Tomorrow I will work my ass off in the editing room so I hope I will have 'Stupederitus' finished by Thursday the 20th (or Friday) then I'll give it to Rein who will be putting all versions on one dvd for the premiere! Thanks mate! And guess what, if we are lucky it will be screened on a BIG SCREEN!!! YEAH!! FINALLY!! WHOO-HOO!!
NEWS 10/4/2006 I concentrate on one project at a time, I think this will work better than doing 3 unfinished projects at once. So the most important project is Stupederitus as I've got 14 days left (yikes!) for the premiere. I'm busy spotting and hopefully I can get into the computer tomorrow. I haven't worked on the endcredits of the lays-commercial yet, I really hope it's still on the computer and as soon as it's finished I'll let you know. But for now, Stupederitus is my number one project so please bare with me.
NEWS 1/4/2006 Yeah so I went to the place to sign up for the movie but it was an April Fool joke. So it was all fake. I really don't know but I really shite on those people who tricked me.
NEWS 31/3/2006 I added subtitles to the Hot Wok Chilli Lays commercial. I tried to put the credits up but it wasn't in a straight line. I'm not sure how to explain it but Fred (teacher) will help me out next week. So just a few more days and it will be online!! As for my acting stuff... Bad news, I called about a professional paid extra job and it was for Lays commercial (wondering what flavour haha) but they already had enough people. So, that's too bad. But the good news is that soon a movie will be made just a couple of streets away from my house! So tomorrow I'm going to sign in and hopefully I'll get a role...
NEWS 27/3/2006 First shooting has wrapped on my commercial about Lays chips and it went very well. I'm reaching the end of the post-production, the only things that I need to add is a widescreen, subtitles and endcredits. I'm not sure how to do all those things so I hope someone will help me with that. As for the first rough cuts I'm really satisfied with the results. I hope to put it online as soon as it's finished so check back later! The behind the scenes photos are gone.. so I don't have any pictures on the set. :-( The coolest thing about the commercial is that I got to work with Fikret, Mischa and Tijo! Fikret is a talented filmmaker but also a great (and professional) actor. Mischa is a good cinematographer and he was excited doing every take. It was real fun working with them and I can't wait to work with them again! Tijo will be doing the voice-over! So, I'm really happy about all of it and I hope I will make more movies with them! Hendrik also worked on the movie (grip and still photographer) but I'm sorry I didn't have a cooler or better job for him. We will work together again and that will be a bigger picture (In the Woods). Also special thanks to Ginny for driving me and for being a good grip!!
Second I went to the filmfestival where both 'Of is?' and 'Hero' screened on 25th of March. It's nice to see and hear people laugh at 'Of is?', even though the movie was made two years ago. Sad news was that the jury did not liked 'Hero' at all, I got some bad critics but I can laugh about it. The jury really dissed me about how bad my movie was while half of the audience came
up to me aftwerwards telling me they disagreed with the jury and they enjoyed the movie very much. I guess it's good, everything is in balance now. Last year the jury loved me and this year they hated me haha. Anyway hopefully I'll be back next year and will scare them out of their seats with 'In the Woods'! I'm planning about making 'In the Woods' in June/July.
NEWS 19/3/2006 Shooting was difficult since I also had to write the dialogues because Bart didn't have them so I hope I did ok as a writer, director and director of photography. I added behind the scenes pictures of Fikret's commercial and a short outtake, enjoy! It was great working with Fikret and Mischa and in two days we will start shooting my commercial! Yeah!
NEWS 14/3/2006 Bart is not feeling well since Friday and with the shooting in sight for tomorrow, he asked me to direct the final scene of his commercial 'Vlinder'! I'm really flattered he asked me, so thanks Bart! I will do the best I can and if I ruine it you can blame me and shoot it again next week when you're better! (Just kidding man, no worries. Everything is going to be alright.) Also tomorrow I'll assist Fikret who will be shooting a scene for his commercial. I am looking forward to it, it's going to be a busy but a great day!
NEWS 10/3/2006 Production of our commercial about potato chips starts on Tuesday 21st of March! It will be shot on location in a small supermarket!!
NEWS 7/3/2006 Filming went well last Saturday, me and Bart will edit it very soon. As you may know I helped working on Joseph Mazzello's debutmovie 'Matters of Life and Death'. I just wanted wish Joe good luck with the post-production and I can't wait until the movie is finished! Good luck! As for my college filmprojects... To be honest I haven't started anything yet, this is also because I had to change my commercial. I wasn't quite satisfied with the story, so I asked for help and Fikret helped me with a new story. I will draw storyboards, make phonecalls, visit location(s) in the next few days. When we start production, I'll let you know.
NEWS 29/2/2006 Put up more questions and answers about the artists I have met on the Frequently Asked Questions, check it out! And musicvideo 'Hero' is online! Although the quality is really really bad and it is online in 2 parts, I'm happy with what it is. Just remember I'm still an amateur haha. Maybe one day I will put up a better version. Also this Saturday I will be shooting a theatre production of jazz singer Tamara Maria with a big band on video! I will be also shooting some behind the scenes material. It's a sort of assignment outside of college but I will receive some ECTS or points for it! Thanks to Bart I will shoot this together with him! Thanks mate!

NEWS 17/2/1006 First day shooting of commercial 'Vlinder' went very well. The director was very happy and satisfied. The crew changed a bit, so instead of playing a role in front of the camera, I have an important role behind the camera; director of photography! I am looking forward to shoot some more and I will keep you up to date!
NEWS 13/2/2006 Filming has been wrapped of short film 'Stupideritus'. Actually the title changed to 'Stupederitus' with an 'E', because the actors said the wrong lines. Haha, really!! I'm not kidding! It was really funny but that's ok, it's a weird title for a movie anyway haha. In the upcoming weeks I will be editing the movie. My friend Bryan Vink will do the score for the movie! The premiere will take place on 28th of April! If you would like to attend the premiere with free drinks and snacks, contact me haha!
