This is the history of Neith, shortened.
She's a half-elf, from north of Gaia. She was born to a human father and an elf mother. Her father left her mother, after getting what he desired, and Neith was born as the result. She was called Corynder at birth, and was raised as an orphan.
Her mother died of a broken heart, at being betrayed by the one she thought she loved.
Neith was raised as an elf, but never truly fit in. She was like an elf, but also like her father. She was shunned by the elves as being "More human", shunned by the humans as being "Elf", and grew up with barely any real friends. On her coming of age, Neith decided to go for the high job as Elven Guard. It seemed ideal for her to prove her elven worth. She had to hunt a beast, and return it to her home in the trees.
Early in the night, the elves gave her a tiny creature in a bag, and told her to go home. Neith ignored them, and continued to look. Late in the night, she found herself being hunted, and was attacked by a giant snake-lizard creature. It jumped on her from behind, the long mouth clamping downwards over her shoulder and ending at her waist. Neith grabbed her dagger, and thrust it into the eye, killing the beast straight away.
She was found by the Elves later on next to the dead beast, bleeding, but alive. Neith got her wish, she was given the title of Elvish Guard.
It didn't change anything however. But one thing did. The creature given to her by the elves, became her familiar. And after a month, they would scout the land together, little creature and half-elf girl.
One day, they came across a traveler. The traveler hit Neith, thrust her familiar into a bag, and rode off. Neith picked up her staff, and started towards Gaia, with only her clothes, her sword, her staff and her dagger.
In Gaia, Neith met people who were willing to help her. One of them was a man, who was ten years her senior. But it didn't work, as wonderful as he was. She left him, and continued to travel, ending up in Rayine's Cafe/Bar. Again, Neith met another. But he too didn't work. Neith ended up in a strange area of Gaia. She realized this was the place she might find her familiar.
After traveling around for a while in search of her familiar, she met Eirnae. Eirnae led her to fa'e HQ, where her life changed forever when Anya appeared on her doorstep with a little baby. Kia.

Info about Neith's stages and the looks that go with them:
Mountains, before familiar: Neith had long hair, no markings. Wore dresses of greens, browns, blues, whites, silvers in the beautiful elven tradition. Also had pants underneath, but the pants were usually hidden by the skirts.
Mountains, after familiar: Blue forehead jewel that glowed, scars down her left side in the shape of teeth marks, would have worn the outfit of the Elven Guard. (Long pants, two thin belts crossing over, gloves, cloak and a top that was like the Noir strap top.) And also the traditional outfit of the woman, dresses, ect. Had a dagger, and a long sword. On Isle: Hair was down to shoulder blades, might have been a little darker in skin but still had the luminous glow, fit body. wore pants and ordinary shirt, and a hat.
Blue Forehead jewel, unless she was around or working with the men, then it'd go
a red.
Start of Gaia: Long golden hair again. Forehead jewel.

As Summer faded to an end. Longer blonde hair again, often tied back with plaits all through her hair. Winter's coming, so she's more likely to be found in semi-formal elvish clothing- cloaks, musketeer top, kimonos, soft jackets. Her style's become more Gaian, but Neith clings to Elvish fabrics and clothing. She's been pregnant, so her stomach's a little rounder than it used to be.
