Net is currently starting the crew’s sixth year.) Thanks for the sweet review, and I hope you continue to read and review Bad Company!
Gypsybaby21- Well, bugger is used as an exclamation by a lot of British people, and I’m not British, so heck if I know why they decided to used it…but all of the American cuss words have really bizarre literal meanings too, so hey…who knows? I hope you do continue to read and review, I love getting reviews…makes my day! Thank you for your charming review (I like the word charming…it’s fun)!
Lord Belia- Wow…thanks! That’s really sweet of you…I hope you like the fic and stay with me as it goes along. Thirty more chapters until Portkey is up to scratch with FF.Net, and then I have to write the rest, so it will be an interesting ride! Thanks for the review!!!
Chapter 17- Friends…or More than Friends?
As soon as the magical dinner was done, Emia and Avia grabbed Lily’s arms and literally dragged her out of the Great Hall. Lily Evans smiled her charming, apologetic smile to James, who looked rather stunned at the twins’ actions. Soon, the three girls reached the Fat Lady, and went up to their dorm.
“Okay, now tell us exactly what happened on your special day!” Avia yelled. Avia looked about to die from anticipation.
Emia’s face lit up with excitement as well. “Yeah, tell us, Lils!”
“Did James tell you all about this?” Lily asked in confusion.
“Of course…the whole school knew. Except the Slytherins, that is. That’s why almost everyone was there early at dinner today.”
“Oh,” replied Lily. She felt stupid; Avia had said it very matter-of-factly.
“Yeah, Lil, James has been planning this for a couple weeks!” replied Emia.
“Wow. Well. Okay…do you just want a run-down of everything that happened today?”
“Yeah, that would be good.”
“Alright. I woke up with a red rose on my bedside, James’ Invisibility Cloak folded neatly by my bed, my clothes laid out, and a note.”
“Which clothes were there?”
“The ones I wore on our first date,” said Lily dreamily. This got an “awww” from the twins.
“Keep going,” ordered Avia.
“Alright…um. The clue talked about strings and multiple players and a toilet room, so I headed to the music room. In the violin case, there were scraps with names of different cities, and a clue that lead me to James’ map in the boys’ room.”
“You had to find something in THEIR ROOM?!” said a shocked Avia.
“Yeah, it took around an hour, so I did it after school. Anyways. After finding the map, there was a clue that led me to the Mirror Room in the East Wing. I went there and had quite a pleasant conversation with a suit of armor, which let me in to the passage.”
“Wow…” said Avia.
“Then I came to a high-domed room
with three doors. One was green, which said ‘
“Oh wow,” said Emia.
“Then a nymph in the painting on the wall gave me two clues… 1, that the right door was the most appropriate in our relationship, and the door did not necessarily relate to mirrors.”
“APPROPRIATE?!” yelled Avia. “What the hell does that mean?!”
“Hehe. That’s EXACTLY what I said. And the second clue was that the event that the right door spoke of involved the most food. Did you and Sirius think up that one?” she asked, looking at Emie with a smile.
“Yeah,” she said, blushing a bit.
“Anyway. I
chose the middle one, and found myself in the
“-but how did you know?” Avia asked, interrupting Lily.
“Well, sweets talked about our first date, and you’re talking all the candy in Honeydukes, hon. And it related to the first clue, because James chose the first date clothes for a reason.”
“Oh,” said Avia with a smile.
“Anyway. I went into the Mirror Room, and Remus was waiting for me with seven lilies.”
“Really? Why seven?” asked a curious Emia.
“One for every day of the week that he thinks about me…and all the lilies had something special on them. They’re right there; you can read them yourselves later. After getting the lilies, Remus led me back to the common room, I went up to the dorm, took a shower, and went down to dinner. The rest you guys already saw.”
“Wow,” sighed Avia. She always wished someone would be that sweet to her. James was perfect for Lily, he was Lily’s other half, special someone, etc.
Who was HER special someone?
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
It was early November, and Avia was exhausted as she plopped into her seat next to Remus in Herbology. Avia had spent half the night thinking about how perfect Lily and James were, how they looked at each other with googly eyes ALL the time, how they always held hands…everything. She spent the other half of the night wondering why the hell she couldn’t have something like that.
“Avie, you alright?” asked Remus’ caring voice, jogging her out of her thoughts, or rather, complaints.
Remus ran a hand carelessly though his shaggy sandy brunette hair, his gray eyes piercing Avia with concern.
“Huh…ye…yes?” but her answer was more of a question than an answer.
“If you ever need anyone to talk to…I’m here,” said those bright gray eyes.
“Um, Remus?”
“Yes?” he asked hopefully.
“Would…you… I mean, you’re probably already doing something…”
“What is it, Avie?”
Avie sucked in a breath and said it all at once, so she couldn’t choke back her words. “Would you go the Quidditch game with me today? It might help cheer me up…”
Remus smiled, “Say no more. Where do you want to meet at?”
Avia smiled. Remus was such a nice guy.

“Aww, that’s sweet, Avie, Remus is going with you?” Lily asked in a whisper.
Avia had been telling Lily all about Herbology in hushed whispers during Potions. Lily and Avia (and the rest of the class) were brewing the Potion of Understanding, a difficult undertaking that involved many ingredients and things that can go wrong.
Emia had been listening and flashed her twin a smile as Avia finished her story. Avia smiled back.
Emia was working with Remus, and asked him a very quiet question.
“Do you…like Avie?”
Remus blushed in reply, and Emia cracked a smile. “I think you guys would be really cute together.”
Remus smiled and answered, “Thank you….you and Sirius will be very cute together too.”
Emia blushed and they went back to their potion, both as red as their potion had become.
“Uh-oh…” said Emia, peering into the cauldron. “Isn’t it supposed to be blue?”
“Yes…why, what color IS it?”
“Um…a tomato red sort of color.”
“We must not have added the muddle root at the right time, Emia…oh boy. You better get back!”
*BOOM!!!!!!!!!!!*
The entire dungeon stood in shock, the potion had exploded right in the face of Professor Maloyte (B/A/N-sorry if I already named the potions professor, but this is his name now.).
Professor Maloyte looked ready to kill.
Then, thankfully, the bell rang, so Remus and Emia cleaned up the mess, and practically flew out of the dungeons.

Avia and Remus met at 5 that afternoon to head out to the Quidditch pitch. Lily and Emia were already there, vowing to get prime seats to watch James and Sirius in action.
“Um, Remus?” said a nervous Avia.
“Yeah, Avie?”
“Thanks…thank you for coming with me.”
“Anytime,” he said, a twinkle in his bright gray eyes.
They walked out to the pitch in silence, but a comfortable silence. Remus knew that when Avia was ready to speak, she would do so, and he didn’t want to be a bother.
Avia found a spot that she liked in the stands, kinda far from Emia and Lily, but with a good view of the game.

The commentator, Timothy Jordan, was a Gryffindor trouble-making 6th year who generally got on with the Marauders quite well. He was a hassle to Professor McGonagall, who always sat perched directly behind Timothy, ready to pounce when she heard anything out of line. (Note- Yes, Timothy is Lee’s father.)
“GOOD Morning, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls! Hold on to your hats, your knickers, and any other useless Muggle expressions you know, because its time for some serious Quidditch!”
The crowd started to uproar with cheers. The Slytherins, as always, were packed tightly together, a giant sea of green. All of the other houses were seated on the OTHER side of the Quidditch stadium.
“Well, I’m your commentator, Timothy Jordan, welcoming you the first game of the Quidditch season, Gryffindor vs. Slytherin! It’s a beautiful day outside, highs in the 20s (Celsius of course), the grass is green, and boy are those birds chirping-”
“GET ON WITH
“Ah. Right. Anyway, that’s the slimy Slytherin snakes slithering out into the sizable stadium now, I love alliteration!”
“
“Right. Seeker for Slytherins is Bulch, Chasers are Avery, LeFoe, and Bryson, Keeper is Hicks, and Beaters are Foster and Cunningham. And here come those great Gryffindors, dressed in the famous scarlet and gold, looking as sharp as ever-”
There was a loud sigh, and then a “
“But Professor!”
“GET ON WITH IT!”
“Righty-O! Okay, well, there’s James Potter, the star chaser, the other superb chasers are gorgeous Amelia Bennett and Clyde Jones, Sirius Black and Frank Longbottom are the beaters, Jacob Preston is the keeper, and the light, speedy and beautiful Charli Maclaine is the seeker!
