| 18/8/02- First 8 games of FNBL Draw Released!: The first 8 rounds of the FNBL draw has been released, with the Tigers hosting the Perth "CBD" Wildcats on Friday the 4th of October. The game tips off at 7:40. Round two see's the Tigers have a bye, but they return on the 16 (Wednesday) to compete in against their cross-town rivals, the Victoria Giants at a 7:40 start. | 20/8/02- FNBL Melbourne Tigers Team Page - BREAKING NEWS! The Melbourne Tigers would like to officially announce that Activision will be the teams new major sponser for atleast the next 3 seasons. The deal, reportedly worth over $600,000 a season, will see the club prominteally feature the Activision logo, similar to the one shown below on their singlets. The deal will also provide the Tigers with a state-of-the-art arena, which is said to seat over 15,000 fans. The "Activision" Arena is to be built in the heart of Melbourne, and be ready for competition by the 2003/04 season. 20/8/02- Meet the team/Squad Pages to be put on hold. Both the Meet the team and Squad pages will be put on hold until atleast 2 weeks before the seasons start. Trades and Free Agent signings will be displayed on the home page.
