Mark, Alli and Myself headed to Brisbane for the Rnd 9 Clash
between the Crows and Lions Mark and Myself flew up on the Friday and Alli flew
up on Saturday, Mark arrived an hr before me so he had to wait once I arrived
and picked up my luggage we went an arranged our hire car for the weekend found
our hire car and picked our way out of Brisbane Airport we were off to find our
hotel we eventually found it and checked in this time we had someone who knew
exactly what he was doing and all in all was a pretty friendly guy settled into
our room and Mark and I decided we would go have a kick of the footy in the park
we even got a spectator who seemed very impressed with our skills, after
completing our 'training' session Mark and I thought we would go into the CBD to
buy some food, let me tell you this from experience finding parking in Brisbane
is a big hassle and very expensive after purchasing our groceries we headed back
to the hotel. We walked across to the GABBA for Crows training, Mark and I
spent a lot of time speaking to Bill Sanders and Bob Campbell whilst training
was going on and Bill invited us into the rooms before the game we were rapped:) After
training Mark and I poled up the banner and headed back to the hotel on the way
back we grabbed some pizzas for tea:) After watching the Carlton Vs Kangaroos
game on TV we headed out again for a drive or should I say just to get lost
which we manage to do well mmmmm very easily eventually we found our way back to
the hotel and decided to call it a night:)
Next day we were up early and headed into the city for some Maccas for breakfast
and then headed out to the airport to pick Alli up, after picking Alli up went
and checked her into the hotel we headed down to the Gold Coast for the afternoon, we
went to Pacific Fair Shopping Centre had some lunch found a Fila store stocked
with Crows clothes, rolled Marks tongue back into his head and pushed his eyes
back into his sockets after he had seen all this Crows merchandise in front of him:) We
then had a drive around Surfers Paradise watched some extremely mad and rich
people on a ride called the Sling Shot mmmmmmmmmm not my kind of fun then headed
down to the main beach for a photo shoot it was now time to head back to
Brisbane for the BIG Game.
Arrived back at the hotel and walked to the GABBA organised the
banner before Mark and I went into the rooms which let me tell you was an eye
opening experience, got our group together for the banner now this time we were
very successful with our banner and it went very well now it was time for the
BIG GAME Brisbane Vs Adelaide and we played very well and Burton well what a
screamer that was my god Mark and I went nuts we won by 5 points and now it was
time to celebrate and that's what we did first stop Pineapple Hotel for the
aftermatch function and it was packed and what an atmosphere everyone was going nuts:) After
the aftermatch we headed back to the hotel and got changed and headed into the
city to continue our celebrations we ended up at the hotel the Crows were
staying at and drinking with the players and officials we eventually got back to
hotel and yeah got some sleep:)
Up early again for breakfast with Andrew McLeod and Gary Ayres at the
Pineapple Hotel this was very good and I now have a bit more respect for Gary
than what I used too after this finished we headed back to the hotel to checkout
and headed to the airport to fly home Mark and I were lucky enough to have Todd
from Big Brother sitting across from us and we got his autograph once again
another fantastic weekend completed:)
