3/2-My daughter has been very sick again, so I have has very little time to poste. On Monday March 1st we had a new daycare child start. I have another daychild spot that will be filled on April 15th by an infant. I think by then I will be pretty busy. Tommorow I will have a Hennepin County visiting nurse come for a visit.
2/23-Not much out of the ordinary happened last week to report on. On Thurseday I took a class that was taught by a Mpls. visiting nurse. Regarding the Hennepin health department sick children rules for home daycares. The class was very informative. I have order the fifth edition manual on infectious diseases in childcare setting and schools in the soft ware form. Handouts and forms are included that may help us be better informed as to when a child may be to sick to attend daycare.
2/13 - I'm sorry, that quite a few days have gone by. I will at least try to make a entry on Fridays as an update for our past week. I have recieved a new program that will make it easier to report all needed information to our parents. I have to also include that this past week has been one of the worst sick weeks I have ever experienced. With just about everyone in my daycare, their families and my family getting sick with the stomach flu. I myself have not gotten the terrible bug yet, but no dought it is looming over my head. I have had an upset stomach today it is just waiting for the end of today since it is Friday. I really do appologize to all families involved. I only can stress how important it is to keep your child at home when he/she gets sick, and you are not sure what from. It may be something highly contagious that everyone will get exposed to. If your childs daycare is exposed to a contagious illness through your child, there is a chance that you and your child could get it all over again as it goes through the rotation.
