"A Cockroach Invective" by Dr. Fredrick

For years, I can live off a speck of glue
How bout you? No? Per day you need three meals? How frail are you! Certainly not ideal
And thoroughly without appeal. I do

Declare, I, a roach, am the great design
Of the great Engineer. He made us both
But I never sicken, nor take false oaths,
And I never tire, nor weep, like your kind.

All I need are dim lights and tiny cracks
What use have I for mansions and romance?
And what use have I for social advance?
Vanity is your sin, man, I speak facts.

And when your human world blows up in flames
I will be seen snacking on your remains.
