Meito Daiko attended the 26th Annual Pan-Pacific Festival in Hawaii in 2005. The Pan Pacific Festival (Matsuri-in-Hawaii) gathers
performers from around the Pacific to showcase the various cultures of
the region and to promote cross-cultural understanding. Seven Meito Daiko
players (and one super-manager) attended in 2005, the teams second year
in a row, and seventh Hawaiian performance to date.
In 2005, Meito Daiko performed six times in two days. Performances were
well received and audience participation was fantastic. Several familiar
faces were noticed in the audiences, implying that some people were perhaps
following from stage to stage! A great time was had by all the members
of Meito Daiko. Thank you Hawaii! |
