In Loving Memory of,

Donald Henri Labelle
April 22, 1933 -- November 9, 2014.


It is with great sorrow that his family announces his passing on November 9th, 2014 at the Manitoulin Centennial Manor in Little Current ON.

He will be sadly missed by his sons and daughter, Maurice (Carole) Labelle of Little Current, Carole (William) Goetz of Calgary AB, and Andre (Christine Tansey) Labelle of Lorraine, QC, his grand-children, Eric, Elyse, Sarah and Mathieu Labelle, and his brothers and sisters Marcel (Frances) Labelle, Lucien (Audrey) Labelle of Cochrane, Jeannine Labelle Pecile of Kapuskasing, Rita Labelle (Kulgawchuk) of Iroquois Falls, Aline Labelle (Len Myrvang) of Hope, B.C., Peter (Mary) Labelle, Denis (Jeannine) Labelle, Leonard Labelle all of Cochrane and Denise (Jack) Pope of Kapuskasing. Donald will also be missed by over fifty nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Louis & Malvina Labelle and his siblings; Edmond Labelle, Gaston Labelle, Solange Bondy, Theresa Dejoseph and Bibianne Labelle.

Donald will be remembered for his hard work ethics, ambition and ingenuity. During his working career, he was a Supervisor at MJ Labelle Construction Company. He was known to have a distinct ability to locate gravel pits which was essential to the road construction industry.

During his retirement years, he was an avid investor who loved to study, buy and sell stocks. He loved to play his guitar, especially at family reunions and anywhere that people gathered to play music.  He also loved singing in the Church choir in Cochrane.

Visitation 2-4 pm & 7-9 pm on Thursday November 13 at the Génier Gauthier Funeral Home, Cochrane. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the Transfiguration Roman Catholic Church on Friday November 14, 2014 at 10:30 am, after which a lunch will be taking place in the Church basement.

Merci à tous ceux et celles qui ont partagé leur amitié. Nous sommes profondément reconnaissants. Our family would like to thank all those who knew Donald and who joined us in the celebration of his life.

In lieu of flowers, a donation made be made to  The Little Current Centennial Manor Auxiliary or in Cochrane, the Lady Minto Hospital Auxiliary.

Mrs Huguette (Génier) Labelle

In loving memory of Huguette (Génier) Labelle, 75 years, Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at Little Current.

Sadly missed by her loving children Maurice (Carole), Carole Goetz (Bill), Andre (Christine) and their father Donald. Cherished grandmother of Eric, Elyse, Mathieu and Sarah. Dear daughter of Cléophas and Cordelia Génier both predeceased. Dear sister of Clemence Wilson, Jeannine Berubé (André), Florian (Claudia), Stella Mason-Wood (Joe), predeceased by Alma Castonguay, Wilfrid, Albert, Aline Huard, Annette Morin, Bernard and Alain.

Born in Cochrane, Huguette worked for over 10 years as a personal support worker with Homecare. She was a wonderful gardener, enjoyed walking and in younger days, dancing.

Rested at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch Street, Sudbury. Friends called from 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm on Sunday, May 6, 2012. Prayers were at 7:30 pm on Sunday, May 6, 2012. Funeral Mass was in St. Patrick’s Church, 39 Walford Road on Monday, May 7, 2012 at 10 am. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium.

Donations to the St. Andrew’s Out of the Cold Dinners would be appreciated.
