Darlene was born April Fool's Day in Winnipeg, Manitoba. At the
age of nine, she and her family moved to Vancouver, British
Columbia. She now resides with her husband of nineteen years in
Abbottsford, BC.
Darlene is the Fraser Valley Region Representative for the Federation of BC Writers.
She is currently working on a non-fiction book, entitled: Honour
Thy Mother, Honour Thy Self. These reminiscences of
childhood reflect a turbulent past and take the reader on a
journey that spans more than thirty years, where we must deal
with the pending and eventual death of an abusive mother.
After Darlene finishes with Honour Thy Mother, one of her next projects is to be an informative book on the intricacies of Specialty Cake Decorating.
