passed away peacefully at the Perth Hospital on
Saturday, November 30, 2019 at the age of 87.
Beloved wife and best friend of Art Bourgeau and
happily married for 68 years.
Very loving and devoted mother of Lydia (Brian) and
Dan (Kim). Special sister of Lucille (Ken) Crawford.
Proud granny to Jack and Joey Bourgeau. June is
predeceased by her parents Dan and Virginia (nee
Meilleur) Pilon, her brother Raymond Pilon, sister
Elizabeth Ann Bourque (Raymond) and her infant
grandson James Bourgeau. June is survived by many
cherished nieces and nephews.
June was a proud resident of the town of Perth and
volunteered for countless organizations, helping
many in the community. She thoroughly enjoyed her
many years volunteering at the Perth Lion's Garlic
Festival. Among her accomplishments she was a member
of the Nepean library board for nine years and upon
her retirement she was the Executive Director for
the Learning Disabilities Association of Canada. A
great honor she was awarded was The Commemorative
medal for the 125th Anniversary of the Confederation
of Canada in recognition of her significant
contribution to compatriots, community and to
Canada.
She will be greatly missed by her family and loving
circle of friends. Family and friends are welcome to
gather at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore
St. W., Perth on Sunday, December 8, 2019 from 12:00
to 4:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be
celebrated at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church
on Monday, December 9th at 11 a.m. Following the
Mass, there will be a Reception taking place at the
Perth Lions Hall. A private family interment at
Beechwood Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, if desired, memorial
contributions may be made to the Great War Memorial
Hospital Foundation in June's name.
