MEILLEUR (Hitzemann), Margery

MEILLEUR, Margery Hitzeman 84, died at Mease Hospital Countryside, May 3, 2010, of natural causes. Born June 5, 1925, in Chicago IL to Edwin and Ruby Hitzeman, Margery graduated from the Art Institute of Chicago.

Margery was an accomplished artist, creating award-winning sculpture and taking the time to teach others. Together with her late husband of 52 years, Paul, Margery helped run successful businesses, and a large family.

Margery Meilleur is survived by sons Ted, Guy and Laurent ; daughters Paula, Maxine and Colette ; sisters Evelyn and Irene ; ten grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be held at 2 pm, Friday, May 7, at 2720 Regency Oaks Blvd., Clearwater, FL 33759. Donations can be made in her memory to the Art Institute of Chicago. Full obit and service information can be found at sylvanabbey.com


MEILLEUR, Paul G.


MEILLEUR, PAUL G., 75, of Largo, died Tuesday (July 11, 2000) at Largo Medical Center.

He was born in Negaunee, Mich., and came here in 1965 from Wisconsin. He owned and operated Transmedic Carriers in Indiana and was an Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Margery ; three daughters, Colette Meilleur, Clearwater, Dr. Paula Faust of Virginia, and Maxine Haji of Kuwait; three sons, Ted, Gainesville, and Guy and Laurant , both of North Carolina; and 12 grandchildren.
