On Sunday January 28, 2001, Ralph Coulombe of White Rock, formerly of Winnipeg, Manitoba, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 75 years. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 50 years, Theresa and his children: Irene (George) Hardy, Henry (Zelda) Coulombe, Margaret Desharnais (Peter Briard), Annette (Kevin) Trimbee, David (Val) Coulombe and Monique (Roger) Vieira, grandchildren: Rob, Rachel (Gord), Danny (Danielle), Michelle (Dan), David (Crystal), Chris, Lisa, Sarah, Dale, Jade, Nicole, Gillian, Emily and Kieren, great-grandchildren: Jorrie, Isabella, Pierce, Olivia, Benjamin, Joshua, Nathan and sisters Theresa Craig of Calgary, Francis Lubilanecki and Philomine (Marion) Wylie of Winnipeg, Irene (Dave) Arnott of Ottawa and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ralph was predeceased by his parents, Ferdinand and Emilienne Coulombe, his sisters Genevieve Everton, Madeleine Faso and brother Joseph Coulombe. Ralph was born in Morris, Manitoba on May 20, 1925. He spent most of his years living in Winnipeg with his family and served the public through his 44 year long career with the Canadian National Railway.

Ralph will be remembered for his compassion, wisdom, leadership and love of airplanes, trains, music and special places like Birds Hill Park and the White Rock Promenade. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2001, 2:00 p.m. at the Precious Blood Catholic Church, 17475-59th Avenue, Cloverdale B.C. Donations may be given in Ralph's honour to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
