| The Meigs Soil and Water Conservation District is active in Canon Envirothon, soil judging, and other competitions. All programs are now correlated to the State Science Standards. | Meigs County Fair Week will be August 17th-22nd. Stop by the SWCD building to guess the "Mystery Farm" and get the latest updates from office staff and supervisors. Multi County Soil Judging will take place September 10th at the Conservation Area. This land competition envolves high school students from Meigs and Southern Local as well as Athens and Gallia County High Schools. The Annual Banquet, September 22, will feature guest speaker, Susie Vance, Division of Wildlife. The topic will be Ohio Black Bears and Bobcats. The Banquet will start at 7pm, with voting for supervisor at 6pm. |
