What is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture originated in China about 3,500 years ago. It is one of the oldest and most commonly used systems of healing in the world. Using hair-thin needles to stimulate acupoints along the course of the meridians, it helps restore the normal flow of Chi throughout the body. Once the Chi is balanced, the mind and the body can repair and maintain its own health.

The World Health Organization and the National Institute of Health have found that acupuncture can treat ailments that included neuromusculoskeletal, emotional and psychological disorders, circulatory disorders, addictions, respiratory disorders, gastrointestinal conditions, headaches, gynecological dysfunction, tennis elbow, fibromyalgia, and osteoarthritis. Other studies have demonstrated that acupuncture may help in the rehabilitation of stroke patients and can relieve nausea in post-surgical patients.

What is Constitutional Facial Rejuvenation?

Constitutional Facial Rejuvenation is a noninvasive modality used to erase or reduce lines and bags around the neck and face and to firm and tone the muscles while increasing collagen production. This is done by treating not only the face, but the whole entire body. First, the patient will be treated constitutionally by placing fine needles in the acupoints along the meridians of the body. This stimulates the body’s energy and promotes Chi and blood circulation. Once the patient is "grounded", the needles are then placed in specific points on the face and neck. Not only will the patient notice a natural "lift" of the face, they will also feel more rejuvenated physically and emotionally.

What is Reiki?

Reiki means universal life-force energy. It is an ancient Japanese form of healing by placing the hands near or above the body in specific positions or patterns. Through these positions, energy is transmitted on certain chakras or body’s energy centers. It also clears areas where energy is blocked, restoring balance of the body’s energy levels. Patients have reported tingling sensations, feeling of warmth, or peace. Others have experienced intense emotional release. It has been used to treat pain, stress, and medical conditions.

Distant healing can also be performed by a Reiki Master where the patient and the practitioner do not have to be at the same place.
