10 year old Ikki Tenryo was a soccor player, but soon, after an idiotic mistake by the Phantom Renegade and what he had in his piggy bank, Ikki became one of the World's top Medafighters. Ikki can be hot headed then serious, serious then playful and so on. At the start of Series 1, Ikki was just a soccor player and 'some dumb kid that didn't even have a medabot', because he didn't have the money. When Henry, a store clurk that sells medabots, offered him a very old styled medabot, Ikki refused, but when his friend Erika, was attacked by medabot bandits, he was the only person that could help, and he bought the medabot Henry had offered him. A
KBT-11220 Beetle type, Ikki named his new friend Metabee. The Phantom Renegade (a thief) had dropped a medal (the heart and sole of a medabot) into the river and was found by Ikki earlier that day, so Ikki bought his new medabot and inserted the medal, that's how the awesome tem of Ikki and Metabee came to be. As time went on, Ikki and Metabee became the best of friends, their friendship at the end of series 1 was very well improved compared to the first few episodes. What do others say about Ikki, well:

Metabee (Medabot): You think Ikki's any great prize, he's bossy, winey, pig-headed, not to mention he snores all night.
