| My Ideal Community |
| FAMILY In my community, the family life has a lot of rules. The women choose their mate and are given ten years to have at least two babies. Two is the minimum amount and the maximum is five. It does not matter what gender they are. Twins count as one child. These families include the grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins, who all live in one enormous house. The maximum amount of people that can live in one house is twenty and the minimum is ten. If there are over twenty people, the oldest person/people (the amount needed) will move in with a family that still has room. The entire family wakes up at 7:00am and gets dressed in long pants and a blazer (boys), or a long skirt with their hair up in a ponytail (girls). Breakfast takes place a 7:30am. School begins at 8:00am. At least one parent must stay home to watch the house while the other goes to work at 8:15am. Family members must report to their dwelling for every meal which are at 7:30am, 11:30am, and 5:00pm. If the children are late for school, it depends on the amount of time they missed for their punishment. If they are 5-10 minutes late, they make a public apology to the class. If they are 10-20 minutes late, they go to the principal's office. If they are 20-30 minutes late, their parents will be called. If they are 30 minutes-1 hour late, their parents are called and they get a detention. If they are 1 hour or more late, they get gently chastised. And if they miss the whole day, they get harshly chastised. |
| LAWS One law is that nobody may do graffiti or harm to the community. If they are caught doing so, they will be forced to clean up the mess, will be fined $200 for damage to property, and will be sent in jail for the minimum time of one month. Another is that workers must go straight back to their dwelling after work. If they do not return within one half of and hour, they will be fined $100 and they will loose their job. Lastly, nobody is aloud to dispose of or hide chemical/toxic waste. If they are caught, they will be fined $500 and assigned 100 hours of community service; planting trees. |
| JOBS One of the jobs is a teacher. A teacher has special permission to leave the dwelling 30 minutes earlier than other workers so they can figure out what they are doing with the students each day. They are responsible for teaching the children Math, Reading, Writing, Music, Art, Science, History, Geography, Government, and all of the community's rules. If you want to be a teacher, you have to be very smart, good with children, kind, and if the children are bad, strict. You must have 4 years of training at the community university. Another job is the director of recreation (ME!!!). This person chooses all of the extra curricular activities for the children by their personalities. When children are in their first year of school, this person has a talk with them and finds the right activity for them. He then phones each child's parents to tell them where each child will be going, what they'll be doing, and when. This person runs all of the activities after school. To have this job, you have to be good with kids, good at planning, and very organized. They must have 2 years of training at the community college. And lastly, another job is, a doctor. Doctors must be able to both major and minor surgeries, X-rays, tests, and check-ups. They must be able to do this with both children and adults. To have this job, they must be smart, concentrated, and good with all ages. They must have 8 years of training at the community university. |
| GOVERNMENT This government is democratic. It has a mayor and eight elected officials for: fire, hospitals, schools, garbage, police, roads, libraries, and parks (trees, plants, ect.). The community can get the officials out of the office by arranging to have a vote on the Internet to see if other people feel the same way. If they don't like them, they are out of the office. The people of the community have an election and vote every 3 years. |
