By Megan McDonald
I sense you.
Your unearthly body roams throughout my existence like a flickering candle.

Once in a while,
Your guard will slip.

I will catch a hazy glimpse of your face before you have time to run.
Trick of the light you say?

Unlikely.

The world doesn`t believe in you.
Doesn`t know you like I do.
Why must you hide from me?

You are my life.
I have searched endlessly for you
Obtaining an unsurpassable feeling of love and joy when you are near.

My heart cries for you
I would die for you
So why do you run?
Why must you always exist only on the very edge of my line of vision
Constantly surrounding me with the love I cravebut careful to keep out of sight?

Maybe you`re afraid.
Afraid of what it might mean if we were together.

Perhaps you`ve become consumed by your fear.
You love me so much,
Yet you can`t touch me.
 You can`t hold me.
Because your paranoia will not allow you to.

You can not surpass it yet.
I know.

I will wait.
