Green Day
Sugarcult
New Found Glory
Concert Recap
Well, for all of you that havent heard me babble on about the concert, here you go.

My recap.

My cousin, aunt,  and I got inside the doors of Continental Airlines Arena around 7:10ish. We did a little talking, made a few phone calls, and were soon following a small guy with glasses down an elevator to the floor. When he went to get us our awesome pink bracelets, Sugarcult began to play their first song, Stuck in America. We were soon running into a bunch of people on the floor, and noticed that half the floor was barricaded off. I said to Jessie. I think we could get closer. So we go up to the guy blocking the pathway and asked if we could, He took a look at our bracelets and said, Yeah, go ahead. So we walk up to a smaller crowd IN FRONT OF THE STAGE.
For most of Sugarcults set, we were maybe ten or twenty feet from the stage. As people began to mosh, we moved up. I got smacked once, but it didnt hurt much and I was fine. Sugarcult played these songs (in order): Stuck in America, Shes the Blade, Crying, Memory, Pretty Girl, How Does it Feel, and Bouncing Off the Walls. They were good, but because they were first and because Jessie and I were really pumped to hear Green Day, we didnt get into it that much.

The downer of the concert was New Found Glory. Jessie and I DON'T like them. At all. And of course tons of punk teenage boys drinking beer and smoking pot were jumping around and smashing us. But it was alright. Jessie and I knew Green Day would blow us away.

And blow us away is an understatement.

I dont know if there is a good word to describe how they played. They were AMAZING. They sound SO great live, and the put on an awesome show. Because Jessie and I were probably 5 or so feet from the stage, I got some great pictures of Billie Joe right in front of us. They played American Idiot first, and just kept going for god-knows how long. Maybe an hour and half or more. After that time, the lights went completely off, and we almost thought the concert was over.
No, no, no. They started right up again in about 2 minutes. Billie even changed his black shirt with a red tie to a red shirt with a black tie.
The stage, which I forgot to put in detail, was awesome. There were different Green Day related signs, tons of lights, and ther was fire once in a while (and scared the crap out of me too), and a huge sign that said GREENDAY that changed colors all the time.

Anyway, to top it all off, it was a great night. An awesome, wonderful, kick ass night. Hopefully I will get another experience like that, because Im hooked.
